I have been with this company long enough to see some significant issues in leadership and culture. From my experience, the company seems to focus primarily on acquisitions rather than organic growth. While they’ve grown by buying smaller players, it feels like they’re not investing enough in the infrastructure and leadership necessary to sustain that growth.

One major challenge is the micromanagement and penny-pinching culture that dominates the workplace. Leadership often spends more time focusing on new acquisitions than fully integrating the previous ones. As a result, things feel chaotic, and teams are often left to pick up the pieces. The recent acquisition was a disaster, and the Renewals division, in particular, has suffered as a result.

Leadership also struggles with communication and change management. There’s a disconnect between what senior leaders think is happening and the reality on the ground. Decisions seem to be made without full consideration of their impact on employees, and feedback is rarely welcomed. Instead, there's a "my way or the highway" mentality, where expressing an opinion can lead to being seen as a threat. High turnover at the leadership level only adds to the instability.

The company also doesn't foster a healthy meritocracy. There’s a clear culture of favoritism, where promotions and recognition often seem to depend more on personal connections than actual performance. If you’re not part of the "inner circle," it can feel like your contributions go unnoticed. For those who dare to question leadership or the logic behind certain decisions, it can quickly feel like your days are numbered.

In terms of performance and compensation, the bonus structure is set up in a way that makes it nearly impossible to earn the full payout. Despite promises of an above-market bonus, the targets are intentionally set too high, and employees are often left with little to show for their efforts. The company often uses a bell-curve approach to performance evaluations, which prevents employees from reaching their full potential.

The corporate culture here can feel dehumanizing. From the moment you log in, you are treated like a number, not a person. It’s a constant reminder that your value is primarily tied to profit rather than your individual contributions. The company does offer occasional perks, like pizza, but even that is poorly executed, often leaving some employees out.

Overall, the company could significantly improve by focusing on leadership development, communication, and treating employees as more than just a means to an end. There’s potential here, but it feels like the current leadership is too caught up in their own power dynamics to realize it. The lack of genuine concern for employee well-being and development makes this a tough place to grow or feel valued.

For those considering this company, I would say be prepared for a lot of turnover, low morale, and a lack of opportunities for meaningful advancement unless you're part of the "right" crowd.



If you are looking for a place to micromanage you, ask far too much from you, and not pay you a competitive salary to keep up with inflation, then look no further!

Read this, apply elsewhere. Trust me.

Terrible environment and no office culture, other than bury your head in your desk and give them the results they want. When you do give the results they want, you will be rewarded with a pizza party, (but no drinks because they simply do not want to spend the money you worked so hard to get them).

You are quite literally a number and I promise you, that is how they will always see you. By far the worst company I have ever worked for. Your every move is tracked and they want a breakdown of your day in seconds. You read that correctly. Seconds. Several of the teams at MCAP are managed this way so moving around to another department is not the answer. 

Shall I continue or have you made the right decision and kept scrolling for a better job? In the strange event you haven’t, I will go on.

This company does not want fresh new ideas or anyone who speaks up and challenges the way they are used to doing things, I mean, you can try, but you’ll either get shut down or let go, but the getting let go part will be a blessing that’s not so in disguise.

MCAP boasts that it is a great company to work for, meanwhile, they do not provide adequate opportunities for growth, nor do they take accountability where it’s due. Should something occur during your training or on-boarding that was missed by management at MCAP, naturally you will have to take the fall for this. Why not speak up and explain?, you ask - Go right ahead! It’s a damned if you do, damned if you don’t situation, they are never wrong and you should have known better.

The people who succeed here are those who have been there for years or those who drink the proverbial kool-aid and figure nothing better will come along. I’m not saying your workplace has to coddle you, but I can assure you MCAP does not care about you. They care about how they present themselves and generating revenue, but not in paying their employees fairly to keep up with cost of living and inflation.

I hope I have made it very clear to look elsewhere. Why not just leave yourself?, you may be asking, well…there’s a reason I’m writing this on Indeed in the first place.

As an employee, I feel it's important to share my experience, even though I understand this might have consequences. Over the past year, multiple team members, including myself, have raised concerns with leadership and HR regarding persistent leadership issues. Unfortunately, these problems continue to persist, and it seems like they are only getting worse.

2 particular areas that’s been particularly concerning is the apparent disconnect between how performance issues are handled and leadership’s lack of understanding of the renewal business. While underperforming employees are quickly let go, it seems like leadership roles remain unchanged despite similar challenges. This inconsistency has raised questions about the fairness and approach to leadership development within the company.

HR conducted focus groups to gather feedback, but many of us felt that the process wasn’t as open and genuine as we hoped, given relationship conflict of interest. Some employees were hesitant to share their true opinions, fearing potential negative outcomes. Transparency in feedback processes is key to fostering trust and improvement, and I feel there is room for the company to enhance that by hiring truly unbiased third party companies to conduct these focus groups.

If the company is committed to improving the department, addressing the work environment should be a top priority. A healthy culture is built on clear communication, equal opportunities, and support for all employees. In my opinion, leadership needs to be more focused on cultivating a supportive and collaborative atmosphere, where merit is the primary factor in decision-making.

The last year has had a noticeable impact on morale, with many employees feeling disheartened by the constant changes just for the sake of changes where processes ended up worst and efficient than prior to the change was made. The company could benefit from strong, fair, and competent leadership, as well as a genuine commitment to listening to employee feedback and taking real steps toward improvement. I believe that focusing on these areas will help restore the team's former high performance and create a more positive working environment.

Management are vague and will change how they do things with a drop of a hat. They love to micromanage and have too many resources you need to look through to do your job, yet they expect you to do it within a timeframe otherwise you get penalized. It's a high stress, low reward job. Bottle line, management are highly disorganized and run by people that need more training. They love to promote people they like yet will overlook candidates that have actual job experience. They say there's lots of opportunities in the company yet make you feel like your only option is to stay in a call center role doing the same boring tasks day in and out. Thr hardest part of this job is dealing with the same poorly managed decisions leadership makes. They all talk about wearing the customer, business and employee get yet most managers don't even bother thinking how these decisions affect the agents working directly with the homeowners. They are unable to look at the bigger picture and it's those actions that's costing the company valuable resources. I'll seen many good agents leave because they feel frustrated in their role. This company doesn't care about career development of 90% of its people. Cut throat and toxic management.

No work life balance.  When you struggle on a call they refer you to a site that is supposed to provide all the answers, it does not.  Search words do not work, you try to make suggestions to improve the website they are never updated with improvements. Only updates to bloated processes which seem making the job doomed to be successful. The group chat is only to make jokes or call out people who make mistakes nothing more.  Low pay extra work for job duties you were not hired to do. The training does not prepare you for this job.  The schedule you have to bid for every 6 months if you like that kind of environment this job is for you.  For employees who are salary this is not any kind of place where you are spoken down to like child. Management like elsewhere pretty much like everywhere else. Always in meetings and the weekly coaching session is to talk down to staff or shame them for weekly call scores not being perfect.

I would not advise to work in this company because I saw low respect to employees, low job culture: extreme SLA s, you can not be allowed by management to take a vacation, because of unrealistic performance demands cooperation between collegues is going viral: you can be contacted on holidays because someone has burning deadlines, you will receive 10 calls beyond you expressed you are unable to discuss it by phone. 
The selection process is absolutely horrible: they give you old platform that can't work from modern devices, they say it's 20 minutes you open it and it's 200 questions plus practical test . To sit a day annoyed to fulfill it. Like it's paid.  I felt disrespected as a person, the attitude is like you are a trash from employees. 

Started at MCAP in 2018 and did very well performance wise. I was given only positive feedback and never anything negative. 
After 3 years, I asked them about a promotion. They decided to give it to the person that had started 1.5 years after me. They didn't even give me an interview for the promotion. They also paid WAY lower than the national average for many positions and give very small bonuses. For the amount of stress and work you will put in here... not worth it at all. 
Very very disappointed by this company and will never recommend anyone to work there. Steer clear of MCAP. You are much better off working for First National Bank or CMLS. 

MCAP if i am not mistaken is one of the best companies  i have worked for so far. Its self explanatory looking at the longevity  of service for most of the senior staff.you actually feel  home working for MCAP and i wont  hesitate recommending  MCAP to anyone. Its a great company  with excellent  employees  always willing  to assist  and let others grow. In addition alot of internal growth opportunities. A good and friendly environment. Always something good and funny to do to evoke  laughter  and happiness from the management. You dont  feel bored working  for MCAP. A great  company. 

Relatively low wages for hourly work. Subordinate employees are often stressed out and given overwhelming workloads. Friendly upper management. Unpaid overtime work encouraged by immediate manager. Supportive company culture, but smaller teams tended to be more tense and less productive. Decent hours. Some on-site amenities offered. Little opportunity for vacation time. Almost no opportunity for promotion or advancement within the company. Some networking opportunity. High level of company security and safety.

Very high pressure role with opportunities to make meaningful impacts in many peoples lives, but unfortunately there is very little attention made to workplace health or wellbeing.  Turnover is extremely high and many team members report feeling unwell due to the pressure.  People who are normally comfortable with high pressure roles often still feel unsupported in this role causing frustration.  If you are not extremely mentally resilient, this role will deteriorate your mental wellbeing.
