This being my first job I have no comparison to other companies. Also, being female and 54 years young trying a complete career change felt exciting and rewarding in learning so much.
The two Melloy foreman that I worked for during my 36 nights were very informative and taught me a lot. The work it’s self kept me in top shape. Who needs a gym! LOL
I give Melloy the Best Thank you for the opportunity I was given to work for them!

What is the best part of working at the company?
There was nothing. This is the worst company I’ve ever worked for.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Superintendent coming to the morning meeting one day and told us he enjoyed fire in People

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
It’s all about them they treat you like a piece of garbage

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Wake up in the morning dread every second before you go to work then when you’re at work dread every second when you’re there a 10 hour day seem like a week it was the worst

i found them very fair to employees. there is no job security or seniority. they have a two tiered management system that works very well  there is a good system for keeping a good team together. they do good work are very safe on the job. the best part of the job is the safety and being a union company.  the worst part of the job is the insecurity but that is a part of union work. thats why i like to belong to a union.

Absolutely the job that I was cut out for...... when I was single and had few other considerations in my life.  Ultimately the time away from home as a project accountant proved to be the deciding factor.  

If this opportunity had come along a few years earlier the situation would have been ideal.  No regrets tho - and would recommend to anyone willing to make the commitment ... great people and great management !

Your a number nothing at all you fell like a rented mule

Dealing with management  and safety

Lousy if you are unable to fall in line you are chastised 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Fearing for your job and swallowing your self esteem

I like working with these guys on shutdowns; fairly well put together with good planners make for fairly smooth workdays despite the long hours.  Management is responsive to suggestions on how to improve things on longer timeline jobs and safety program is well administered.

Supervisors are always around to provide assistance/needs to their crew. I learned to always ask if we are doubt on the job to be done. I enjoyed working with my crew as a team player. We provide help to those in need. The hardest part was lack of tools, which I get used to having when I am operating my own Rig truck as a rig welder.

Good enough of a company where I had enough tools available to do the work.
Supplied mostly everything needed which is nice to see.
Ppl seemed to work together.

Very happy to work for such a well organized and professional organization. Direction from Sr management was done well in consideration of the tight and changing time lines of the job. The equipment availability at times (as with all construction jobs) was a headache, but I would go back to work for them in a heart beat.

Good place to work with good pay, and great supervision, great people to work for in a fairly fast paced environment, with clean lunchrooms and very safety orientated, and health conscious with protocols put in place for the Covid 19 virus
