A pretty typical day at work would be to audit incoming invoices for any rate discrepancies to look for cost savings.  Speaking with vendors to clear up any issues regarding payments.  Calling Vendors to double check any errors on invoices that were submitted.

Managements presence wasn't always there due to their busy day which allowed the employees to work on their work own accord more often.

Co-workers were usually great to work with and had a good work environment initially but slowly some co-workers made it difficult to want to continue to work there.

The hardest part of the job was when our payments to the vendors was overdue and there wasn't any explanation I could really give them due to many software issues that caused delayed on our end.

The most enjoyable part was the freedom management gave as long as we were doing our work which allowed us not feel like we were constantly monitored.

●Supporting SAP in Supply Chain Management across 3M warehouse including Pickers
●Replenishing Work orders in SAP by selecting Warehouse task, entering product number and copying handling unit and entering the quantity to be replenished
●Creating Back Orders in SAP by entering delivery numbers on label and going to Warehouse ●Tasks and selecting the item to be backordered.
●Increasing delivery quantity in SAP
●Helping pickers with the RF scanner problems
●Print Packing Slips and Placard

Responsible to all transport related needs such as finding carriers, making sure loads were tendered, to invoicing and daily transport VPI measurement.

Working daily with materials, purchasing, engineering, and senior management on strategies and daily operational issues/projects.

Driving cost savings for local facilities and network.

Helping build efficient and welcoming work culture and efficient environment stressing principals of Six Sigma and 5S.

My time with Menlo Logistics (parent company is Con-Way Freight),
was a positive experience. The culture is positive and progressive in there company's future plan development. Focus is on the customer and employees safety and development within the company.
Overall good company to work for.

They begin the shift with the start up meeting for 15 minute to discuss the continuous improvement for the work environment and reminding the work procedures to the working staff.

I learned that the company is strongly committed to continuous improvement and using the lean method which is creating more values to the products and services with fewer resource.

I learned a lot from working at Menlo Worldwide such as LEAN manufacturing. Knowing LEAN is a benefit to any company because it teaches how to be more organized and effective.

I am busy all day at work.  There is not linearity with Hewlett Packard.  One day I could be working 4 hrs and the other day I could be working 12 to 13 hrs.  It used to be a real good company to work for but more and more benefits and employee appreciation depreciates.

Management would go out of their way to ensure all employees are properly trained to excel at their role, and groomed for future personal development.
