Typical day of work consists of working short and worrying on the next "problem " managment will come up with. Newer managment is manipulative and not transparent. If anything goes wrong, managment is quick to pass the blame on care staff. There is no accountability on their part and nothing is ever their fault. Will always find a way to place blame on staff. Budget cuts have drastically reduced the amount if training/quality training. Inadequate training for new nurses. Managment's actions/practice does not reflect the trust needed by the team to provide appropriate care for tye resident. Often secretive and not transparent or welcoming. Unfortunately these issues trickle down to the residents and has already effected resident care. Very sad, not the place it use to be. New managment is culturally dominated, fixated on costs and funding.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Working with the residents is so very special. Sharing their  life stories is enriching. The kitchen staff are amazing, hard working, flexible and growing all the time. It was a wonderful job.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Not the company itself but the external stresses such as rising costs and regulations. Covid was tough for sure but they handled it with tenderness ans flexibility.

Interested in growth for all. Positive and you feel heard and appreciated.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Full! Lots to do and your encouraged to interact with the residents.

Management is very helpful , your concerns will be addressed and handled accordingly 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Not always, but sometime the partners cause there is always different partners you will be working with so you might get conflict and not matching the chemistry

Very friendly and supportive.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
It's quite busy you will be able to cover your full shift for example, sometimes seven or eight hour shift easily working friendly and you would not feel bored or anything

This was one of the best jobs I ever had.  Staff were great to work with and provided lots of interesting and challenging experiences.  Work days were always busy and I enjoyed the opportunity to be creative in my work, such as developing new forms for the nursing staff, creating a campus wide weekly newsletter, and anticipating the needs of my managers.
The hardest part of the job was leaving at the end of the day!

My old manager was nice when i was a dietary aide

On call early in the morning, no assurance of schedule

Fast and stressful job site and some co workers especially senio over me were nasty

Everyday is busy there and no easy days

As a student, best part was learning new things, adapting to them, and working with friends

Everything was good without stress

It was good working there in the environment where everything was peace and calm

Starting off the day with routinely work.

A great place to work with lots of opportunities for advancement. If you are new to the company, the staff is more than willing to help you with your job. They understand that when you are new that sometimes it takes a couple shifts to get the routine down. 

I have worked at Menno for 7 years now and absolutely love it. No place is perfect but of all the places I have worked in my life which is quite a few I have to say this place is like a second home to me. Management are friendly and helpful and my coworkers have become family. Definitely recommend this place to work.

Seen many chances over my years of employment, not all for the good. Care is declining because of cutbacks and management not seeing what is really needed.
Management could be more in touch with staff and redidents

Usually lead an activity for an hour, then we'll do some one on one games or conversations with the residents and sometimes the volunteers go on strolls with the residents both inside and outside (if weather permits) the building.
