I was hired for the job via a temp agency like most of these jobs go these days. 

I enjoyed the people there very much! and the work was not too bad at all. the pay was good. and from what id heard, the benefits package was not so bad either. 

I was hired just before a very slow time in the season. so after my 6 months was up, they let me go. I don't fault them for this. i understand how these things go. and i would have liked to continue working for them. 

Management was VERY Well organised, and professional while maintaining a jovial sense of comradery with the employees for the most part. 

It had a slight case of Full timer drama, like any other workplace. but that was amongst themselves and never involved any of the part timers. 

Over all, it was a very good experience and im better for it!

Worked as Engineer III until January 2019 in the Engineering department at Mevotech. Typical days included working with suspension and chassis components- propose, design, review, test and approve parts based on the engineering guidelines. Great Managers, Team Leaders & colleagues as per my experience, the management is very supportive and accommodating. The team, I had the chance to work with was very close-knit and always fun to learn and implement ideas with. Everyone is nice and welcoming, and ready to help you adjust to the environment. All over a great company with good management and only a few downsides.

BE VERY CAREFUL of Mevotech!  I worked for there for four months in which they promised to hire everyone who has been there for 4 months or 580 hours as per the collective agreement with their union! The day came when I reached 4 months and than they tell you that they no longer need you and this is just a few weeks til Christmas. They are not family oriented, because if they were they could of at least waited until after Christmas to let us all go! I gave up other opportunities cause I was under the impression I was guaranteed a full time permanent position. I don't suggest you go there EVER!!! Please takes advice and stay from from away!!

The management reacts quickly to business trends o make sure that gains do not get lost.

One should be ready to move into any of their facilities on very shot notices. One should be able to adjust working with different teams at all times.  

In the end everyone should just be part of one corporate entity.

Seniority sequencing for overtime posting can be a logistical nightmare where people will just report to wherever they well please anyway.

There are better places to work, culture progressively got worse even though the company implemented programs to uplift morale... lack of leadership, professional development and cohesiveness throughout make everyday very difficult to get your work done. Department managers constantky lie and undermine which created alot of department vs department politics. There are way better places to go if you are in any stage of your career.

The workplace culture and environment is pretty friendly and respectful. I had learned a lot about design and testing, specs of automotive suspension and steering, brake product. The company was facing terrif pressure as other Canadian company which selling products to USA market. The company laid off people when she facing the terrif pressure. So less job security over there. 

You will overwork yourself and constantly try to achieve the companies goals but the company doesn’t show loyalty in the end. No future for advancement within the company. The company would rather hire someone outside that hardly knows anything then promote their own. HR is also horrible, doesn’t respond to emails. I’ve worked here and clearly went above and beyond company expectations but never was able to grow in this company. Stay away unless you want to be doing the same thing for the rest of your life.

At mevotech I am given a table to work at each day where I unload skids then package and label the parts. When finished each skid I pack them back onto a skid and pull it to the waiting area. I repeat this process for 8 hours and then receive a 15 minute break every 2.5 hours. The most difficult part of the job is working with no lunch break but the job is also enjoyable because I was always kept busy so the lunch break was dismissible.

It has a great team that bring new comers quickly up to speed. If you are a fast leaner and self starter then this place  is amazing to work .
Each function is very busy and fast pace. There are great opportunities to know specific operations, logistics, marketing and many other function either in high level or in detail.
Great place to work for eager and energetic individuals

Duties will vary due to personnel, vacation, sick time etc..
special projects are always on the go, this provides an opportunity to learn other facets of the business and procedures.

Co-operative co-works, hands-off management.

Most tasks fall into the repetition category.
