Milltron electric

I worked at Milltron for about a year and a half. I learned a lot, everything from MCC’s, cable tray, pipe bending, capacitor banks, terminating thermocouples. The work culture is fast paced & taking initiative is appreciated. If you come from Oil & Gas it might be a culture shock in that way & also the fact that safety isn’t their top priority which I personally love because a lot of industrial sites go way over board with it. Overall, if I had to go back & do it all again I wouldn’t change a thing, it’s a great company to work for. I only left to get experience in different sectors of the field or else I would have stayed on. 

Tdlr: 
Pros: good money, lots to learn, good bosses that will look out for you, time off is given, hard work is appreciated 

Cons: typical work culture where people will throw you under the bus to get ahead, driving across the country can get tiring, never sure if/when it’s your last shift

Milltron is a great place to work and grow as a trades person. Management is fair with employees, even though some more notice would be appreciated before jobs. As in with most trades companies they have/have had some bad guys working for them that can turn a day but management is always willing to let you vent. All in all they have good upper management, some great foreman and good people in the office. When i left the company i was told there is a open door for me to return. The pension is awesome as it sits in the holding account for when i retire. Again this a awesome place to work but out of town work does wear on you.

Great place to start your career. From the foreman to management, this company cares about their employees. Be prepared to work and learn at this company. You will not get stuck with one job for whole apprenticeship, so by the time you are done you will be a well rounded tradesmen. I worked primarily in the south, so even when work got slow, the southern manager tried to make sure I had something on the check, even if it was a just a couples days. 

They are by far the worst company I have ever worked for. They are extreme unorganized. A couple good foreman but the rest wouldn't survive in any other company. If you do take a job with them pray that you dont get stick working anywhere near the owners son who gets a ridiculously long leash.
They have no respect for their employees.

They never tell you how long you will be at a particular job. They have several very unqualified foreman and they are extremely mismanaged. They have one foreman that constantly has people quit because he has no clue what he is doing. Owners son, wile an apprentice always tried to take charge and manage journeyman..... A very unskilled electrician....

Great company to work for. When there is lots of work you make alot of money. You get LOA on days off which is good. The office seems to be run good. Management is fair with employees. It looks like the the bad apples generally have a bad experience, and look to place blame. Generally a good company to work for.

I like the guys there lots of nice guys willing to teach young apprentices. Some of the foremen only want the job done and nothing else so you better hope they like you or you're going to be pulling wire.
Typical day will be hard work so work hard if you work there.

This company is great to work for, with one real exception; They continue to hire on more people than they have work for. Other than that, I thoroughly enjoy working for them.

Great company to work for.  Management and supervisors are highly professional on job sites.  They are also flexible and understanding when dealing with personal matters.  Office staff are easy to talk to and quick problem solvers.
