Mine Raglan

My last five years at Raglan Mine allowed me to enhance my knowledge in strategic purchasing of goods and services, and in negotiations with our various suppliers, through constant communication within our company’s various departments.
Through this experience, I search for the most suitable suppliers in order to maximize the quality of service received and I evaluate bids and proposals to ensure cost effectiveness, legality and compliance with required specifications as well as safety and environmental standards. I am also responsible for the administration of operational and capital contracts, as well as the management of contracts assigned to me.

Where i work in the energy departement king of chaotic whit all the superintendanrs involved: conflict between some of the employes and the contractor :the foods is goods and the rooms are well for the glencore employe,you got to go thu your probation period of 90 days worked before you get some king of protection for your job
The production bonus  is good  but no double time at all it’s not acceptable when put 12 hours shift weeks at the time:workers down south get it so ?...

Raglan Mine is a great place to work.  The salaries are very competitive, and it has one of the nicest mining camps in Canada.  This place knows what they’re doing.

Lots of responsibilities 
Learn a lot about troubleshooting 
Lots of hands on work 
Learn cargo loading with freight and passenger cargo 
Independent and crew work

Good money, but good money at the expense of long hours and long periods of time at work. Shift work with minimal recovery upon arriving at site for night shift.


since it`s winter pretty near year round there isn`t alot to do, we are isolated at the mine with not alot of thing`s to do on our time of work

11 hour days, 7 days a week, for 14 to 21 days.
Working in the North. 
Learned endurance and fortitude. 
Culture mixed with English from Ontario, French Quebec and Inuit culture.
