The job begins Easy enough, simple bartending serving customers with a smile and pushing alcohol. The problem is inconsistencies in business. Often slow and unsatisfying, bad tips if you ever get them. Seems fishy that staff are not given any information on the amount you receive and cash tips are collected by people I've never even seen before, only to return a day later with an equal split. Your tasks also vary in that you will be doing mindless work you are not prepared for. Mailing thousands of peices of junk mail. Building displays for other companies and cleaning areas you don't even work in. Management is the problem all around. Expectations are high that you do things with little information gathered. There is no communication between higher staff, and it seems every person I've spoken to dislikes their job tremendously and are only staying for convenience. Myself and others have been promised a raise and were lied to based on all the information I have gathered, no employee will receive a raise hence most people leave after a year or so. Not a good fit for anyone, unless you're used to being stressed and confused about every aspect of a job you thought could be fun.

Used to work for the company.  Did not show any respect to anyone, did not care if a safety issue was reported.  When I reported a safety concern, the Brew Master Yelled and screamed that I'm an idiot who doesn't know what I was talking about, as "Nothing Happened, you're fine and you didn't get hurt."

No Benefits whatsoever.  Scheduling is very difficult to follow.  Did not know if the mistake I made would be my last.  Overall a very stressful work environment to be in.

Finally, If you work the night shift, you don't get any differential payment unlike most places.

My experience at Minhas Micro Brewery was one of a kind. I had the opportunity to show customers what was behind the doors of a different type of bar / restaurant. 

They make their own hand crafted beer along with sodas and delicious food. I wouldn't regret my position as a server / bartender / tour guide even if I was told to!

out of all microbrewery's in calgary i would rate this the worst. run by greedy punjabs that will never give you a raise. no advancement because its family run so they only look at you if your apart of the family.

The head bosses didnt care about safety and told both myself and other employess to break the law whenever poassible. Would go to management about concerns about the warehouse or problems with the trucks and they said work with it never wanting to fix the problems

Management has zero leadership skills. They fire people because they don't like them and are in general, the worst people in the world. Do yourself a favour and literally work anywhere else.

Horrible management, co workers and boss.
I would not recommend this workplace even to my worst enemy.

No fair pay
They always looking at their employees on cameras.

Nice job but some employees are not good they don’t know how to speak in English  but than i moved to Toronto so now am here looking for work and i hope i will find a nice jop

Felt very excluded quite often, didn’t receive any support from management whatsoever and they made me train my own replacement. Fired me at the last possible moment on my final day of probationary period

Working here was a blast. I got to face my dear of large crowds while at the same time learning alot about beer and teaching it to people while taking them on a tour of the brewery/ pub.
