Mitchell's Towing is a busy place, with the dispatch office located up front and phones that never stop ringing. Starting with an entry level dispatch position, the training provided was comprehensive and complete for people who have mechanical aptitude and reasonable deductive skills. 

Management is a team of people lead by a husband and wife team that started the company after workplace disputes at a previous local company. They have a multitude of experience between them however the owners tend to be very absent and concerned more with growth of the company and less about quality of experience for staff or customers alike. 

The hardest part of the job is the long hours, extreme weather conditions, dangerous highway exposure and management that often has difficulty empathizing with a position they no longer hold. Aggressive private impound customers can also be a downside unless one is unaffected by conflict. 

The most enjoyable part of the job is working with a team of well-educated men and women who are working their hardest to keep everyone safe and accountable for their vehicles. The industry itself is very difficult to navigate, let alone succeed in, but the determination to provide correct information and premiere services to high-end vehicles at Mitchell's Towing makes it a very easy industry to transition to.

Great place to work, everyday is very different. It’s a fast pace environment, training was excellent. Each employee has their own way of teaching during training but the best experience was with the owner Mitchell. When he did one on one training with me I picked things up much faster. The office staff are friendly and have are easy to work with. My Cheques got better and better the longer I worked there and if it wasn’t for me moving I would have loved to have stayed. I recommend this place if you enjoy a different environment every day and like being challenged,  you do have to put your time in to get experience. The income I earned was fair and if you want to work more to earn more money you can.

I have been commercial driver for close to 10yrs.
I worked 4 on 4 off, and made 1200-1500 per pay cheque doing 7-9+ calls a day. 
In the interview they tell you “you beat your day rate, you make your commission.” Nope. Every day you have to beat your day rate to make your commission. 
0 in office training to give you the low down of how the company operates, what pay days are, etc. so you get to have drivers tell you what they remember for how it operates. 

A company that plays with people's money. If you want to work 12 hours shifts and most of the time get paid minimum wage, this must be the place for you. Employees are treated bad. Management is incompetent. If you make a mistake you are on your own and they will try and keep money from your payments as many time as they can. If you are a tow truck driver that wants to make money, this is not the place. 

I’d say the work load is good, the money is good if your self motivated. The training was excellent for just starting and the staff are welcoming and help each other. I was given an old truck to start and worked my way up to newer equipment.

Every day is different, one min you will have an easy tire change and the next job might be a complex recovery. people are great, and its rewarding knowing that you help people on a daily basis.

Very professional family run company that goes the extra mile to really take care of customer vehicles.  The people there make it a really great work environment to be in.

Trucks broken all the time, unsafe requests, overworked dispatch that is un-experienced. Greedy owners. Stealing peoples cars. owners steal off your pay cheques.

Its more personable than corporate company work. You just have to remember, its not got corporate pockets.
Learning is continuous, be open minded. Have initiative.
