Mongolian Grill

A typical day at work consists of working as apart of a team and customer service. I enjoy the rush of working at a restaurant, the busier the better as time would pass faster and the money is always better. The hardest part of the job I found was when it got to an extreme busy and I felt like I didn't have 30seconds to think, but those periods were short and at the end of the night it always ended up being worth it. The most enjoyable part of my job was the people I worked with as well as the people I met while working.I loved interacting and meeting new people as I served them. I learned that patients is so important when you are working with multiple people at once and that sometimes if you want a job done your way, you have to do it yourself instead of relying on someone else. Over all I loved working at Mongolian Grill and I know I am always welcome to go back, which is what I love most, it's like one big family once you join.

co workers were helpful and a joy to work with. Got along with most of the back of house and front of house staff.

Management was difficult to deal with at some points but when everyone worked together as a team things got done in a orderly fashion.

the hardest part of the job was closing the restaurant on a certain day and walking up and opening the restaurant the next day.

the staff was very close and it made going to work enjoyable.

Very fun place where  typically grilled all the meals i am given while maintaining a friendly environment for customers as i would grill in front of them. I learnt how to prepare ingredients for the meals there and learned to fry some of the meals on the menu. The management was very professional but friendly at the same time. The hardest part was the workload and late hours and the most enjoyable part was working with all the staff who are very friendly there

Before 2014, Mongolian was an excellent place of work. New owners, however, seem to care less about employees. 

The new General Manager would hold their title above you and were not interested in making things easier for staff when needed. Reprimanded for little things that would cause more stress for employees than need be.  Assistant managers, however, made working their much better even if the conditions were less than ideal. 

Would work here for a short time, however, not an ideal place for long term.

A typical day at work:
Washing Dishes, bringing clean dishes to customers, carrying dirty dishes to dishwasher

What I learned:
The skill of moving quickly as well as safely while carrying dishes and cutlery in a fast paced environment.

My co-workers:
talkative, humorous, laid-back

The hardest part of the job:
Working in peak hours by my-self   

The most enjoyable part of the job:
Getting through the day

Kitchen Manager, Mongolian Grill
 Manage the overall quality of food and kitchen operations.
 Directed the recruitment, interviewing, hiring, training and motivation and evaluations of crew.
 Supervised the preventative maintenance and upkeep of equipment facility and grounds.
 Maintained labour and food costs.

The staff was great since new change in mangement everything went down hill! Lots of improvements need to be made, especially with scheduling staff on busy days when we need them the most

the work at JB's mongolian grill was good but the management left something to be desired. lasting friendships were made and valuable experience was earned but sustained employment was not favourable.

Work is fast-paced, busy most of the time, I have learned to be quick on my feet here and time management. The owners are wonderful, and the workplace culture is inviting. The hardest part of the job would be how busy it is but the pay and tips are good

it was one of the most profitable and enjoyable business I worked with. The staff were great and everything was well organized. The kitchen manager was one of a kind very talented and driven individual, it was an honor to work with him.
