Morison insurance is a fantastic brokerage to work for. I always have a sense of excitement coming to the office each morning, to work with both customers and great team members. I have never once dreaded coming to work during my time here. 

Having worked for other brokerages in the past, I can say that this brokerage is the place you had hoped the last brokerage you were at was like. The managers here have your back and will stand behind you if you make a mistake, Team members are willing to collaborate to find the best outcome for clients, the owners (Fred and Jill) care so deeply for their employees, and the work is fulfilling.

While everyone wishes they were paid more, especially with the cost of living increasing so dramatically… Morison Insurance does have some great perks: Referral bonuses, retention bonuses, a great benefits package, early closing on fridays of long weekends, RRSP matching, and fun company outings to build memories and relationships with your team aside from working together. They offer sponsorship opportunities for charities that employees care for, and give you a lot of time to spend with your family through vacation.

I enjoy going to work! 

 Overall environment is excellent!  The best Management team ive ever worked with, they are very approachable, I'm  not afraid to voice opinions or concerns whatsoever. They listen, are open to new approaches and are pleasant to work with. I feel a genuine sense of care for the staff.  

The team overall is enjoyable to work with as well, we have open communication and are all willing help eachother out. It doesn't feel like just co-workers here, people are real and you can speak without feeling like you are walking on eggshells. You tend to make friends easily because people are generally happy to be here and are pleasant to talk to. 

Yes there is the odd bad apple employee , but extremely few, I have been in the industry for over 20 years and have worked quite a few places and i can tell you, they don't know how good they got it here.

Also the owners are around all the time and they dont scare the heck out of you. They are very approachable. How many places can you have a down to earth genuinely enjoyable conversation with the owners of the company you work for?

Going to work at Morison Insurance every day is a privilege, it is such a great place to be.  I believe others feel the same way, I see many who have been dedicated employees for a long time, 10, 20 even 30 years!  I have been at Morison for over 4 myself.   Of course work feels like work, we work hard, our days are filled with finding the right fit for our customers, coverage and price.  This is challenging at times but having so many great markets to place business with really helps.  Wonderful balance of many things at Morison, team atmosphere yet individual accomplishments are still recognized.  You feel like "family" yet you get to work for a fast paced, professional, growing company with several offices.  This makes staff social gatherings and regular company meetings exiting.  I compliment the monthly incentives, they honour the endeavours of all staff and not just focused on "traditional" goals.  Management is approachable for anything that is on your mind.  They continuously invest in the most up-to-date tools and technology to help us do our jobs better.

Overall, Morison is a good place to work. The TSR department is fun and easy going but also hard working and busy. Department management offers great support when necessary and cares about the happiness of their employees. There is very little micromanagement as long as you are doing your work. Vacation time is usually always granted without hesitation. We are lucky enough to have 2.5 paid vacation days during the Christmas holidays (skeleton days). From what I have seen (and have been told by friends in the industry), compensation is higher than average here at Morison. The hardest part of the job is during the summer which is our busiest time of year. Lots of applications and policy changes to be completed! The most enjoyable part of the job is getting to work alongside the people in our department. There are lots of long-time employees in our department (and CSR department) which I think says something about the treatment of staff. Overall, very little to complain about and lots to be happy about.

If you have no experience don't even bother to apply as you probably wont get hired.  They want experienced staff.  Nothing wrong with that.  But if you think its bad where you are now, think again.

If applying here make sure you leave your current employer on good terms and ask if there is the option of returning.  CSR's are hard to find, so if you leave on good terms you can always go back.

There isn't much research available on the people that work for any company.  Lets just say that if you were popular in high school you'll be popular here.  If you were picked on in high school you'll probably be picked on here.  Always someone talking about someone.

They are always hiring to replace those that have quit.  Its not about growth.  I left years ago and they are still trying to replace me.  There are no opportunities to advance here.  You are either in service or sales like any other insurance company.  But if you are in service you have to sell a bit to.  Like upsell and stuff.

I can confidently say Morison Insurance is focused on delivering the best experiences for customers, and according to Google Reviews, we are doing precisely that.  How is that possible?  Well, employee satisfaction has a ton to do with it!  Without happy, knowledgeable, dedicated brokers, achieving these kinds of results would be impossible.  Morison is growing, we work hard, but we also have a lot of fun in the process.  As the industry begins the process of digitizing, Morison is uniquely positioning itself to become one of the best brokerages in the Ontario marketplace. Morison Insurance is a great place to work overall.  The upper management is always striving to make better procedures and to stay on the cutting edge of technology.  No employer is perfect,  but Morison works really hard to engage staff by having social events or even in-house sales competitions etc.  Staff are friendly and offices have a family-like environment.  Sometimes things can be a bit stressful when short staffed - but comes and go in waves.  Even on my most stressful day, the wonderful staff in my branch make me still want to go into the office - where I get support and maybe some smiles.  We have a few CSR positions open right now, and need qualified people that want to be part of an amazing team environment - apply today.

This has to be the most toxic environment that you will ever be exposed to. Great reviews from current employees. Don't take the bait, its a trap.

If you do take the bait you will quickly realize who the office drama bosses are. You need to be good at kissing up because once they have your number no manager will come to your rescue. They are untouchable and they know it. No there is no HR department to help you either.

The best part about working here is that its not a life sentence, its a learning experience of a lifetime. You will think twice before yelling at at people at the top of your lungs. You will learn the true meaning of bullying. Finally you will learn how much stronger you will become in preparation for your next job

Morison Insurance is one of the best places I have worked and I've been in the business over 20 years. The training on a system I had never worked on was outstanding, the co-workers are such a delight to work with. There is so much support and were always willing to answer my questions.  Being able to laugh and have a fun office atmosphere is crucial in our stressful business, that's how the St Catharines office is . The only reason I am leaving is for personal reasons, that have me moving 3 hours away, which is a bit of a commute to such a great workplace.  I would highly recommend working for Morison Insurance, if my circumstances hadn't changed, I know I would have been there for many years.

Morison Insurance is a great place to work!  I have worked at Morison Insurance for over 20 years.  There were only five employees when I started and now there are over 80.  Exceptional customer service and employee satisfaction is number one here.  There have been lots of changes/challenges in the insurance industry over the past 20 years and Morison Insurance has always met these changes/challenges with a positive outlook and forward thinking.  We like to be in the forefront with technology and are working on a lot of new and exciting digital options!  We have a fantastic social committee and lots of wonderful social events each year.
