The atmosphere is very friendly and inclusive which is a great benefit to start a new position with. There is constantly something going on so you'll always have work on your desk but that's expected when it comes to maintaining a 24/7 operating plant. With the help of your smart coworkers and reliable supervision, Mother Parker's is definitely a good workplace I would recommend to anyone looking at the manufacturing/production work environment.

As a 4-month co-op student, a typical day involved creating reports, complicated spreadsheets and combing over work orders, machine manuals and the parts database. You'll be given the guidance you need to complete your tasks but expect a fast-paced workflow and differing deadlines you'll have to prioritize to complete.

A typical day at work was extremely hot a stuffy due to no air-conditioning and no windows or doors with a ton of bodies very close together. Extremely fast-paced. I learned how to print labels in order to properly label boxes. I learned how to package in a fast-paced environment. There was basically no management because almost all of their employees were hired by a hiring agency called Randstad (including myself), therefore we really had no one to answer to or ask questions within the company Mother Parkers itself. My co-workers were all complaining of the heat and other things about the work environment there. The hardest part of this job was working in such hot work conditions. The most enjoyable part of the job was the hours I worked which was 7-3, Monday to Friday.

Very fast pace environment, management wants number all the time to the point that production and safety standards are sometimes being bypassed. Continental shift, so you have to give up 2 weekends per month and so life and work is not quite balance. Salary is above average, employer matched rrsp and medical benefits provided by the company but no bonuses aside from gift cards and turkey on Christmas. Most employees are loyal judging by their lenght of services although you will see frustration and dismay on their faces. In conclusion, I’ll definitely recommend this company to anyone but don’t expect too much because there’s a very little room for growth.

Was a wonderful company to work for, until 2024, leadership changed, benefits were cut, bonuses are hard to get and they constantly miss targets so  - no annual bonuses. Limited training and career opportunities.  
They pay well, but everyday is a fire drill, and priorities shift from one moment to the next. 
Review offer letters by a lawyer, there are clauses that remove your right to severance and to only get minimums despite longer service. Do not accept those terms.  
The org is siloed, and difficult to work cross functionally. Each department has their own projects and demands, compound that with larger scale corporate projects and you have a stressful job with competing deadlines constantly.

Hired thru Randstad so you are not really a legit MParkers employee. As such you are treated differently so no one really knows you at work. Some employees/supervisors might take advantage of you because of that so be careful. i.e. One time i witnessed employee X and supervisor Y abusing break times and so I had to do 2x work than usual. Hours are long and you are on your feet all the time and will be tiring. Pay is also not the greatest. Overall, I would say if your desperate for some extra coin I would work here. There are certainly better warehouse jobs that pay better and have benefits.

I been working for this company for over 26 years, if i compare before and now is a big difference maybe because so many company's doing the same products ( producing/ distributing Roasted coffee ) as we do.
Big difference the way we work before and now, before we don't used computers; now all the machine are Robots, even the company benefits are change too, before 100%; no you need to choice an options according what your family needs.
I missed the day when started in this company.

Mother Parkers was a great company and I enjoyed going to work. A typical day would be very easy going and not very hectic. At this company I learned a variety of things which include time management, balancing personal and business life as well as being a team player. The management team at Mother Parkers are very understanding and cooperative and the co-workers are very friendly. I would say that the hardest part of the job would be when there was less man power and deadlines needed to be met. Although some parts were hard, my favourite part of working there would definitely be the social events!

Horrible place to work for.  There is NO RESPECT amongst workers.   Very low moral. Negative environment. Senior staff run the show and supervisors do nothing about it.   I was verbally abused several time and HR did nothing about it.  Supervisors don't care about their employees, all they care about is themselves.  No Organization at all and no one like to play as a team, if they get the chance to throw you under the bus they will. I wouldn't recommend working for this company.

No doubt it's one of the most well paid manufacturing jobs around- but, if you will be a newcomer there you have to be careful with your working relationship with long time employees. Good luck to you if you have good credentials because not everyone will appreciate what you have. High performance is expected but even if you work your butt out the slightest mistake can cause you your job-EASILY- PRONTO in the blink of an eye just like in a Third World country sweat shop.

I found Mother Parkers a good place to start your career in Canada. As a production associate I learned many things as being a team player and coordinating with team members. How to work in fast pace. Everyday I had multiple tasks assigned and learn different skills which are basics requirements for Production related environment.The most enjoyable part of the job was to work in R&D department and do some quality testing and providing feedback to the management.
