Muraflex

Very diversified company with many moving parts. Never a slow day and for someone who has drive and likes challenges and problem solving, it is a perfect fit for me. Hardest part of the job is also the easiest part of the job for me- challenges. I love problem solving. Life is problem solving. 

The Employees are very friendly and the work environment is very welcoming. One of the main reasons anyone chooses to stay at a company back in my day was the money, now our generation understands money and possessions don’t make you rich. Life makes you rich. 

Management and owners at Muraflex are very knowledgeable in their respected domains- one thing I would like to see a little more of is “management- employee” meetings to let the front line employees be heard and appreciated so while the company continues to grow, the employee can as well. Knowledge is power and to have a company with the most humble position in the company to know the product, company direction, have the ability to communicate their feedback and be heard, as an employee myself it reinforces the decision that employee chose the day he/she accepted their position. It could also lead that same employee to feel valuable so much as to they will go above and beyond because they no longer see themselves as an employee like their title states, but as a team member of a company who listens. Our issues are our issues as one. Our solutions are our solutions as one. Nothing is “beyond your scope” when it is relevant to us a company whole. 

They do however have many many many weekly and monthly events for their employees- from BBQ’s to Mother and Father’s Day celebrations, Holiday parties, Easter egg hunts (with actual chocolate and $!!), Birthday celebrations, Fundraisers and more. The social committee does an excellent job I have to say- and I have done events in the past. 

The only negative I can see so far is that they grew so fast (a good negative problem).  While many companies tanked under pressure in these past couple of years, Muraflex actually surpassed their own expectations in sales. More than quadrupling its size and projects is obviously going to cause growing some pains. Imagine you gained 5x your weight in couple years - I bet you’re going to need some new clothes/options. 

Their goal now is to find driven employees willing to expand WITH the company, and after these years, let’s be honest -  many of us got  comfortable. I can proudly say I was one of those people- content with settling -until I joined Muraflex. I literally found my drive again. And for that I will always be grateful. 

Growing pains happen at every stage  of your life - same with the evolution of a business. Especially after the supply/demand chain issues that has compromised companies who manufacture products composed of many raw materials and components coming from all around the world.

 I came in knowing nothing about this industry and in a couple short but super fast placed months, I have learned how complex manufacturing a specific customized product derived from a raw material really is- and I work in  finance not even not the operations/ manufacturing side of the company. 

Honestly- you cannot be taught in school what you learn on the front line- so if you need a manual with a training and a guideline with a word-for -word- description of your job tasks and how to execute them- this is not the place for you. Stay in school. Join a library. 

Their management approach is more like: “Here is the job we expect you to do, here are the issues that may arise-now go get ‘em tiger!” And you’re off to the races. Don’t be confused- if you need help or advice or guidance- your department or other employees are very helpful and will always direct you in the correct path to execute your job, but no one is going to hold your hand 24/7 or do your job for you. 

This is what I like the most about Muraflex- they are like a cocoon in a way- you enter as a caterpillar into this new silky cocoon- where you learn the basics of the company, company values and basic necessities needed to carry out your job task in a very short period, then they they release you into the world and give you the ability to flourish and figure out how to fly like a butterfly with these new wings and body. 

Not always perfect when you learn to fly in a world you were perfectly  just fine and comfortable walking but like saying goes- “A person who never made a mistake, never tried anything new”.

 I see an even bigger and brighter future for Muraflex once they overcome the little potholes from the economic storm that affected every industry over the past couple of years. 

If Muraflex continues to focus on expanding international projects, exports, production and customer relations externally, and continues to grow and compliment their already strong foundation and structure internally, they will effortlessly maintain their position as the world-class manufacturer of demountable office systems and exceed all expectations across the board. 

Muraflex will continue to hold the title as THE North American leader- not only in the manufacturing office systems but also as a developer of driven minds that are given the ability to also transform into a butterfly, expand their own new wings and learn to fly high too.  

Muraflex is a booming company. If you enjoy a fast-paced and fast-moving work environment, this is a great place to work! 
The company culture is amazing. You really feel that you are part of a team and a family. We work hard but we party and laugh even harder. There are a lot of company activities: summer bbq, Halloween party, amazing holiday season party, Friday birthday celebration with cake, fruit baskets on Wednesday for employees... The people are great. 
Like a lot of growing companies, it can get a little crazy sometimes, but the management team continuously establishes new processes to help employees reach their potential.
Mostly, I feel like there is a real potential for growth here. Not only can I acquire new skills and grow as an individual, but I also feel like I can grow within the company. Upper management really supports and cares about its employees. There are a lot of activities to support employee growth: webinars, lunch&learns, factory tours, training, etc. Again, the people make the difference and Upper Management is always available for you. The support is really amazing. 
Overall, if you are a driven individual, this is an amazing place to work.

If you're looking for a stable company, Muraflex is a company that is doing very well on the market. I've seen a lot of people advance in their careers, either got promoted or moved laterally in the company. So you can really stay at this company long term. It is true, the entire HR team changed but for the better in my opinion. Things are more organized and they are very people oriented. There is a high volume of projects everyday, but so expect a very fast paced working environment.

Management is awful, the directors of each department have no knowledge of what needs to be done and they never coordinate.
Management is never updated and never following any kind of code.
Their product has no quality control, putting in risk the site workers and clients as well.
Lack of professionalism.
Aluminum cuts are not supervised at all.
Doors and other components are never being tested before selling, this can be extremely dangerous for installers/clients.
Pay is extremely low.

Bottom line:
Management will make decisions that compromise your work ethic, blaming you, and trying to intimidate you if you do not follow what they want. This creates a really TOXIC environment overall.

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND YOU TO WORK HERE.

The lack of clear perspective on company goals from upper management results in numerous issues due to poor management.
The unprofessional manner in which they conduct layoffs, often in the middle of the day, is both embarrassing and lacks professionalism, impacting employee morale.
It's challenging to plan a long-term career trajectory at this workplace, as the turnover rate and uncertain management make it difficult to envision a future beyond a two-year timeframe.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Preparing the orders in team.  Amazing teamwork chemistry.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Negligence on behalf of co-workers. Lack of harmony 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Team oriented environment. Progress there depends on teamwork. Deadlines would not be met in the absence of teamwork. Pickups and deliveries depends on the successful teamwork of co-workers.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Reading order-sheets and doing the orders. Making sure that forklifts propane gas tanks does not empty before completion of the orders.

-The moment you start working here you already feel the team spirit! The company is very diverse with many different cultures. People here are very nice and friendly; very quick to get along with everyone! -It's a fast paced type of work environment, need to be quick to adapt. 
-The company is still young so all the processes may not be there. They are growing really fast, new hires almost every week, departments growing, new roles being created etc.

I am a fairly new hire and can honestly say that my first impressions of the Company are great. 
The environment is pleasant colleagues are helpful and management supportive. 
It is a fun, fast paced, and exciting place to work. Muraflex has great products and is experiencing explosive growth. I feel I have joined the team at a perfect time and look forward in playing a role in their continued growth and success.

Muraflex is a company with values, and morals and truly cares about their employees and do not treat their employees as "numbers" but as family members. 

The company has been around for 10 years and is continuing to expand and grow, the owners and management and the HR team make a huge difference in our work-life balance.

Nice people in the office but the company lacks organization and management. They love to pile up work instead of creating solutions, they use the clientele as a guinea pig.
They will fire you without warning even if you were doing a good job. As long as it doesn’t work for the CEO you will mean nothing to them.
