Music World

Music World was a co-op project to which I got offer as a part time cashier due to my knowledge of the media and my customer service experience. We've had customers ask us plenty of questions on what's popular and what's new. My managers was a very strict yet easy to work with. With helping me to deal with angry customers to misplaced items, such as shipment was lost. We also make phone calls to our customers to let them know that their orders have just arrived. The hardest part about my job was being laid-off. The most enjoyable experience would be gaining more knowledge in the media.

Music World will always be the one place I could honestly say that I worked at, without wanting to quit or having a super rough day. Everyone who worked there made the experience that much more enjoyable. We all were brought together by our love of music, and we would all learn from each other through the different artists and genres we preferred. All in all it was wonderful learning about bands,and artists and interacting with the customers was another perk.

As part of the management team, I was partially responsible for the goings on in our store. Opening and closing procedures, delegating tasks to staff, maintaining store appearance, receiving and pricing of stock.
I learned how to delegate. How to talk to staff in a professional (yet casual) manner. Also, how to deal with irate customers and try to calm them down.

By the time I left Music World, I could do any job in the store.  I very much enjoyed auditing, inventory and customer service.  I learned not to take things personally and how to deal with unruly customers.  My management team was very supportive and flexible, my coworkers lots of fun.  The hardest part of the job was the hours, especially at Christmastime; the most enjoyable part was the customer service.

great place to work, lots of hours and great district managers that were there for you. Got to keep current on all the latest music, dvds and video games, got to listen to all kinds of music while working. Great selection and ability to order a lot of stuff not in the store. 

I enjoyed the group I worked with. I thoroughly enjoyed working with the public and helping people find what they were looking for.
The team was strong and capable, helping each other a lot.

Music  world was  a sad  thing to see go, a friendly environment where people  got  to connect over music  and  movies. the  hardest part of  the  job was  to liquidate  everything for  closing.

Was awesome unfortunately does not exist anymore...I really wish that this place stayed cause they cared about the customers and employees I had nice responses from customers also

This was a fun place to work because of the staff members. The company unfortunately went under years ago but the memories of the job will be with me forever

Great co workers, great environment, and loved that the team worked together to achieved daily goals!.  Sad to see whole company close down.
