This facility is by far the worst environment I have ever had the displeasure of working in.  Some staff are absolute diamonds. The residents make it worth it to a point. 

What I learned is that they have a long history of really inexcusable behavior, treatment of staff and residents is appalling. If you don't fit into one of the categories of staff, you're completely on your own. The management staff are only concerned about themselves and when issues arise they get rid of the issue instead of actually addressing the problem and making it better, but good luck ever trying to actually talk to anyone, they just play their little message game and never get back to you.  Sadly, not an experience I actually want to put on my own resume. 

Working as a dietary aide at Muskoka Shores is fast-paced, but the staff & dietary management are very helpful & supportive. I enjoyed the connections I made with my co-workers, manager & supervisor while I was there as well as with the residents.
The most challenging part of the job is the fast-paced environment, but once I adjusted to the routine it became second nature & easy.

Muskoka shores is a highly stressful place to work. Management is awful in almost all departments. Chances are you'll have several issues working there. You'll either be over worked and burnt out or you wont be given your proper hours (depending on your department). If you're hurting for a job or need benefits, then work there. But if you can avoid working there, I would run far away from that place. 

Worst management I have ever come across. They lack sympathy and remorse when it comes to some of their staff members. Specifically people of colour. The fate of your job is in the hands of other staff who worked there, they could get you fired if they don’t like you for their own reasons although you may be performing wonderfully at your job. They don’t care. They barely care for their residents. 

Desperately need a management overhaul. They talk about other staff and make fun of certain people at work.  Management bullies their way around.  Certain managers expect way too much from the staff.  PSWs and RPNs are hugely overworked.  Absolutely no teamwork involved and very low moral.

The worse place to work so unprofessional work overload pay sucks they tell you that you get days off and then they schedule you in without even telling you or take you off the schedule without even telling you management is very unprofessional they need to clean house I could do a better job than them and I have been a PSW for 13 years I know more than they do we not work herhere at all

It's ok  There are SOME great staff and there are some fantastic residents there as well. There are some good agency workers and then there are the rest. Most of the time the majority of the agency workers expect that regular staff will do their job for them which has led to  some serious burn out and different rules for different people.

Management make it a horrible place to work. If they dont like you, you will be a target despite being an excellent worker or not. Morale and energy is poor.  Huge turnover in staff. I cannot say one good thing about this place.  If you need a job fast and dont care about being treated with dignity or respect this place is for you.

Muskoka Shores has a great work environment.  You are treated respectfully and professionally.  Lots of room to grow and education provided.  You are definitely kept busy but it makes the day go by quickly.  Regular staff appreciations are provided and staff are great to work with.

A typical day at work can be really busy. 
I learned a lot of skills to be honest.
We have great management team
We welcome all the cultures :)
The enjoyable part of the job is it feels like my second home 💕. Everyone is so nice and helpful ❤️
