My Social Media Group Inc

Working at My Social Media Group Inc was indeed an experience I won't soon forget, and not necessarily for the right reasons. A typical day at work involved relatively straightforward tasks, making the work itself easy. The clients we worked with were generally pleasant, and I truly enjoyed working with my coworkers.

However, it's crucial to address some significant issues that tainted the overall experience. Firstly, there was a glaring lack of job security. The constant fear of being let go or having your job hanging in the balance was a source of daily stress. The micro management in this office is some of the worst I’ve ever seen. The level of oversight seemed excessive given the nature of the work, which, in my opinion, could have been done remotely. Unfortunately, despite the industry's evolving trend towards remote work, there was little to no flexibility in this regard. Which leads me to my next point, perhaps the most frustrating aspect was the uneven treatment of employees. Some received special privileges, while others felt and were disposable. This created a toxic workplace culture where favoritism seemed to dictate one's trajectory within the company. 

In summary, while the work itself was manageable and the clients and lower level staff were great, the lack of job security, unfair pay rates, excessive micro management, and the absence of remote work flexibility made for a challenging experience. I really wouldn’t recommend any one to work here.

Overall, the workload is impossible, the promises made to clients are unreachable, there is no clarity on what each client's package is, and the general sense of anxiety from coworkers is apparent. 

From management not knowing anything about social media to no general structure, this place is a mess. Growing too quickly to try to make profits, social media managers were met with unrealistic workloads with little to no support. 

Now agencies often have high workloads, but 20-25 clients each is unheard of, especially for what is promised to each one. This leaves you with a little over an hour for each person every week. You can spend an hour just communicating with them, let alone content creation. 
Additionally, there are no account managers or anyone who reviews your work. Social media managers already have the job of many, but with having to manage client relations on top of that, it is overwhelming. 

This is the kind of place that would never say no to a potential client, even if they couldn't help them. They're not really helping people create a sustainable social media presences because there's literally no time. 

Unless management seriously refines their processes and gets help from someone who actually knows how an agency is run, I don't see them lasting long.

A typical day? Picture this: a jumble of tasks, zero clarity on priorities, and a sprinkle of "What am I even doing here?"

What I learned? Well, let's just say I mastered the art of winging it. No real structure meant every day was an improv session, and while spontaneity can be cool, it gets exhausting when you're trying to build a social media strategy.

Management was like a game of musical chairs – their minds changed so often and in a whim. It was hard to keep up… and communication? Almost nonexistent.

Workplace culture was... umm, interesting. Teamwork took a backseat, and it felt like everyone was on their solo mission. 

The toughest part? Constantly shifting gears without a roadmap. It was like driving blindfolded (not recommended, by the way). The lack of structure made the whole experience a wild ride and not in a fun way.

But hey, there were moments of creative freedom that made the chaos somewhat bearable. The freedom to experiment was the silver lining – when I could find it.

In a nutshell, My Socials was an adventure, but I wouldn't mind a bit more structure next time. Fingers crossed for some positive changes down the road!

Working as a social media manager for My Social Media Group, each day offers a unique combination of challenges and opportunities, keeping me engaged and motivated throughout. This program has provided me with a wealth of knowledge and skills that I believe will prove invaluable throughout my career. I became well versed in the various and sophisticated strategies of social media. Additionally, I have developed an ability to create authentic messages that resonate with our target audience, increasing brand engagement and awareness. The staff at my company has been amazing. I am fortunate to work with an amazing group of people, who are always ready to help. The atmosphere is cooperative and supportive, creating an atmosphere of friendship and trust. The hardest part of being a social media manager lies in the dynamic nature of the business. Social media profiles, algorithms, and consumer preferences are constantly changing, requiring more flexible and agile strategies. Overall, working at My Social Media Group is a great experience and a wonderful chapter in my career.

My tenure here has been a crash course in adaptability and innovation. I've learned to navigate various social media platforms with finesse, understanding their nuances and leveraging their potential for maximum impact. The environment encourages learning—there's always a new tool or strategy to master, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Management at My Socials is supportive and visionary. Their guidance is instrumental in steering the team towards success. They offer ample autonomy, allowing individuals to explore their strengths while providing constructive feedback to nurture professional development.



Working at My Socials has been a frustrating and disappointing experience, primarily due to the lack of support from the management team and the absence of clear policies and procedures within the organization. One of the major issues I encountered during my time at the company was the glaring lack of support from the management team. It felt like there was a significant gap between the employees and the higher-ups, leading to a sense of isolation and neglect. Communication was inconsistent and, when attempted, often met with indifference. It seemed as though the management team was disinterested in the concerns and well-being of the employees, creating a toxic and demoralizing work environment.

A positive to working here? It's in a great area. And it's always nice to have something for your resume. But even though the salary was lacking for what the industry standard is... it was such a sad environment to be in, I wouldn't work here again if I was offered double or triple the salary. No monetary figure is worth the stress. 

This job was one of the most stressful jobs I have ever had and it wasn’t worth the effort I put in on a daily basis. I created content and managed social media posts for an array of clients. Pretty straightforward but the clients loved the work. But as an employee, I was 100% under appreciated and under valued and I can say this confidently because of conversations with management. They made it clear to a lot of us that our work wasn’t appreciated, that we needed to be doing better or be more like so and so. And if we did do better and did do more, we weren’t rewarded with more pay like we were originally promised. Instead we’d get pizza parties. Because pizza makes for a great work culture, right? I’m young, but even I can tell that the mentality with how this place is ran is outdated. If My Socials wants to do better and succeed as a company in the marketing space, they need to adapt to the industry. Unfortunately, they are way behind. I estimate this place a year tops before things halt. Unless they make significant changes in  how things are run. 

I am really fortunate to work at My Social Media Group where I am a part of an amazing team! The environment has been amazing from the beginning, and I'm excited to share my wonderful experience. People are the heart and soul of any workplace, and I have to admit that I work with some of the most gifted and committed people in the business. Here, teamwork is a way of life, not simply a catchphrase. My coworkers have an amazing sense of camaraderie, which fosters a collaborative environment that makes going to work every day enjoyable.

There is no denying the business's commitment to customer happiness. In order to fully comprehend and satisfy each client's specific objectives, our team goes above and beyond, producing outcomes that are above and beyond. Being a member of an organization that puts the success of its clients first is immensely fulfilling.

There was a constant lack of clear direction and communication, leaving me often feeling like I was navigating a maze blindfolded. The workplace culture was toxic, to say the least. The environment was incredibly uncomfortable, stressful, and unproductive. The only silver lining to working here was the chance to boost my resume. I did gain some professional experience, but it wasn’t worth the disorganized chaos and the toxic vibes set by management.
If you're looking for a place to grow your resume, My Social Media Group Inc might offer that opportunity. But be ready to deal with the worst management team and a workplace culture that's best avoided. The managers on multiple occasions have been extremely vocal about their refusal to work with a diverse group of people and the comments they make about women should be looked in to by someone.
