I started my journey with Myers back in September 2019 and going in with low expectation as I was struggling to find a job after being let go from another. I was working in a department where i was no longer comfortable and wanted to excel in what i studied in. After a week of working at Myers Orleans Chev Buick GMC i really wanted to find something else. But after working and communicating with the staff, i was enjoying being with the company. The longer i stayed, the more i didn't want to leave. After working 3 months at this location, a new position presented it's self in what i studied in. I applied and received a new promotion within a few months of getting the first job. Even when the pandemic of covid 19 happened, i was unfortunately laid off, But once again Myers was able to help me out. They offered me a temporary position in service until my services were needed in my department. Myers as truly changed my life in the spam of one year and i am extremely grateful. No matter what location i was at, ALL dealers felt like i was family.

I will start off by saying , I have been working for Myers for almost 5 years. Management has been great, there is  always new opportunities.  Working hard pays off. Everyone is respectful and helpful.

The culture of this company overall is great and everyone I work with is amazing.

Company shows appreciation to its employees and keeps everyone updated on internal changes and news. Communication is outstanding. 

Management and HR are always there to answer questions, provide any help. Speaking from experience, I do not have any negative comments. 

Myers cares about their employees and treat everyone as family.
 It is very hard to find a company that can credit you for what you deserve and how hard you are working, Myers is one of the companies that appreciate its employees. 

Best part of my job is customer service, each one of us has a specific task everyday to provide an excellent customer service to our clients and meet their needs and that is our main focus and once you need help, our managers are there reachable to help us get to where we need to be to succeed.

A typical day at work consists of assessing damage to vehicles and advising customers and or insurance company's the cost and length of repairs, ordering parts, overseeing repairs to insure they are being done correctly and in a timely manner.
 Since working at Myers I have learned and bettered myself in multiple areas such as communication, repair processes, organizational skills and conflict resolution. 
 The management at Myers in my opinion is top notch, they are fair, friendly and are always willing to teach and try new things.
 The workplace culture is very friendly and team oriented
 I would say the hardest part of my job is dealing with customers because some are very angry to start with because no one likes getting in a collision, the key is making the customer feel comfortable and confident in the process.
 The best parts of my job is also dealing with customers because it gives a great sense of satisfaction when a vehicle is repaired to pre accident condition and the customer leaves happy.

I have worked many different jobs, including working at a couple of other dealerships, and I have never felt more respected and appreciated than I do here. While we all have individual targets and goals, we are also a team, and we generally work well as one. We spend a lot of time together, and definitely bicker and fight like any family would, but in the end we always work together.
My Management team has helped me grow as an employee, and as a person in general, and I'm very thankful for their encouragement and help. I feel as if my Managers actually care about me as a human being, and don't just see me as a number. They are incredibly understanding when it comes to mental health and illnesses in the workplace, and don't make you feel like an outsider. I feel as if they really want to see me succeed, not just because it will help the business, but because it will help me.
All in all, this has been a wonderful place to work, and I'm very happy to call this place my home!

Resume : DO NOT WORK AT THIS COMPANY 

At first, I was approached with a lower salary than mentioned, with bonus that would "Average to what you would like". Mind you, bonus is far and I mean FAR from reaching said market value and bonus pay will be taxed more than regular pay.. 

Then we were requested to cover the work portions of other employees who were lazy, management would play on their phones and get emotional when confronted. 

Lots of back handed comments, very obvious favouritism. Your schedule will be modified constantly and your tasks will never be stable due to unrealistic expectations and demands from management. Management rather clear office than to take time to work with their teams, will ask more out of you than what they give you. 

This used to be a work that you could be proud of. What a shame this industry has become. 

The main reason I joined the Myers group from my former employer was the way I was treated from the start. I was happy at my former place of employment but was looking for more of a suitable work environment for myself and my family life. I found it here! My general manager has to be the most caring and professional person I have ever worked for. I have felt welcome and appreciated every day I work for Myers. The flexibility of my schedule is another reason why I call this store my home at Myers Barrhaven Hyundai!

I have been with the Myers Automotive Group for over 14 years now.  I worked for them for years left the Car Industry and then came back.  When I came back I only applied and spoke with the Myers Group.  I enjoy my position, I have advanced throughout the years to my current position.  It is an engaging company to work for in an industry that can be extremely challenging to work in.  The Myers Group helps to provide tools and learning opportunities to advance not only your position within the company but also better yourself in the process.

Going home at the end of a lousy work day of being abused by the managers

Management has no idea what they are doing or how to treat employees 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Sneaky and cliquish, you can’t trust anyone or depend on your team members

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Discouraging and draining, there is absolutely no support from most managers

Don't bother wasting your time.  This place is great at taking very good people and breaking them down. 
I started there very optimistic and positive and by the end,  I was stressed, unhappy and not sleeping well. 
The hours are grueling. You work a minimum of 10 hours per day. There is no work-life balance. You are severely micro managed and someone is always looking over your back to screw up. Do yourself a favor and keep scrolling.
