Typically my day was 5 hours of planning, cooking, baking and having a meal (with enough leftovers for the next day's lunches), ready at a certain time and then the kitchen cleanup.   I learned to work with dietary restrictions and multi-cultural tastes.  One day per week was allocated to shop for a weeks worth of groceries for about 4-15 people in about 1-5 houses.  This job required flexibility, driving in all kinds of weather, cooperation and some interaction with clients.  The hardest part of the job was coming up with new and tasty meals and lifting all the groceries.  The most enjoyable part of the job was the interaction with the clients and their appreciation of nearly all I did.

Each change of management brings in their own team to reinvent the wheel, leaving high level management spots going to outside personnel. 

Resistant to change. Safety culture is terrible.  Courage to care is a front. 
Production above all, including safety and security. 

Does not lead by example. Policies are not followed by corporate and management so how can you expect employees to follow. 

If you are fine doing other people’s jobs, while doing your own, this is the place for you. 

Culture is deteriorating with more focus being put into production and less into employees.   Often feels like people making decision don’t take employees concerns as seriously as they should.   Excellent benefits, competitive wages

When I first started I enjoyed going to work. Not anymore, I dread having to go in. The morale is non existent and management and especially HR is a complete joke. The pay is a joke and don't think about getting a raise. I wouldn't recommend anyone to work there.

Get along with other coworkers. Keep workplace safe and clean. Preform given tasks accordingly. make sure all machinery is safe and fueled up. Had daily inspections and densities that needed to be done also.

The team members, supervisors, manager were great to work with.  There was a good focus and people wanted things to work well and effectively.
I recommend the company to really review their values, not everyone believes it. 

Low paying for mining, goes by hrs not experience or work quality in order to get pay raises, amazing crews and supervisors. Upper management is very cheap and don’t seem to care about employees 

The place is a joke I would not recommend this place to anyone they use all the “isms” major favouritism etc. definitely do not apply to this company but I have heard great things about Newgold in B.C

Enjoy my job and what new gold has to offer then are very well equipped they train you well and the work place is very safe and instructions to follow are fair and reasonable 

Good place to work. If you show up and have a good attitude you`ll be rewarded.  Just like any job you have to be patient, specially in the mining sector. But every operator is noticed.
