Management blames one another, no team work, and general employees are worked into the ground with up to 16hrs shifts. Management prides when the business makes money, but doesn't invest anything back into what the employees need to get their jobs done (for example, better lift trucks because the current ones can't stay charged more than 1hr at a time).

Training is very poor. Lift truck drivers get a 5min driving audit and asked to move a pallet form here to there. You do that you got the job. 

Most truck operators are required to lift manually 95% of the day. So don't kid yourself, it's a manual labour job. Managers and Supervisors are working side by side with their employees while being full-time customers service reps too. 

Managers or supervisors don't get a desk to sit and plan out their day. You get a laptop and work from the "comfort" of your lift/reach-truck

Very high turnover. Employees at all levels come and go (quit, most of them). Management doesn't care, they replace.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Picking orders and making sure that they are all done during the shift. A great challenge and it is interesting because when you are faced with a challenge especially on the job, the excitement is there. When you've completed your schedule for the shift, you go home with a good taste in your mouth. You are,satisfied with your performance. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
No stress at all. Once you start your shift and things are all in order, you go at it with hammer and tongs.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
All good. I'm an older person there and everyone treats me with respect and love. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Work, work, and more work. Orders for the next day have to all get done, and that's why everyone is going nuts to get them done. Customers need their stuff and we have to get it out to them when they want it.

Not a place you want to work in, regardless of position (forklift operator, management, customer service, etc). Very poor working conditions: dock doors that aren't safe to use but you have no choice, forklift machines that should have been retired years ago and can't last more than 2 hrs into the shift. Operators are required to do manual labour 90% of their shift. Some pull and push heavy loads on pallet jacks in temperatures ranging -20C to 40C (without company PPE). 

Supervisors do the best they can to help everyone, but upper management doesn't know how to run the business (literally said that). All they know is numbers, but not what it takes to achieve them. Very long hours, safety IS NOT their priority. Many don't wear proper safety shoes, very few operators are even certified. Building has hazardous chemicals, but it's not even designed sustains spills. They had a dumpster fire about 3 years ago.

This is terrible place to work amd I highly suggest you avoid it.
They hired me to do a specific job but eventually I was picking orders and loading trailers for 4 different departments.
This was way too much expectations for the pay I was making.
People were getting laid off every week including a supervisor which made it seem like no matter how hard you worked no one cared and expected more.
Terrible work culture where the boss expected everyone to compain about their co workers directly to management which resulted in people making up stories and complaints about people they didn't like.
Management was terrible, and at times it felt like there were more supervisors than workers.
Avoid this employer you can do better.

Work culture at NFI, in regards to the people that work within are kind, everyday people like you and I trying to get by. However, I learned within my 2 weeks at NFI that safety is not a priority, budget is 1st then it's your safety. They're cheap and management will cut corners to save a buck. A few near misses with forklifts and collisions with shady practices will have you baffled. They talked about safety every morning and can't help but to roll your eyes. Very hypocritical. If you report anything at least you're covered. Unfortunately, it'll take something serious for them to prioritize safety first. Lastly, for those who like organization.. they're not. Inventory is a mess. Good luck finding a product.   

In my long journey of working for this company. I didn’t feel appreciated. The pay was alright. Management never helps you succeed and doesn’t care about you at the end the day, co workers are alright. 
If you get your time in eventually they will make your life easier, but until then. Be prepared to be worked like a dog with no appreciation, and be critiqued for everything you do. Then when you ask for something else to do because you can’t handle what you currently do or you need at least help with what you do. They will just belittle you and tell you the problems you are facing are just minuscule and they are not real problems. 

My day presents a new challenge constantly,I might drive locally in Ontario delivering to grocery stores or travel into the united states and pick up anything from wine to paper products.I work for a large U.S company that has a small division in Canada.My immediate boss  works very hard to secure work for all of us and is very mindful of the work/home time balance.the other drivers I work with are all very helpful and supportive to one another.the hardest part of my job is the road and weather conditions that effect the safe and timely delivery of the goods I haul for our customers.I enjoy meeting different people in my travels and I feel especially good when the customer is pleased with the job I have done.

If you want to work in a place full of drama, zero real management from any of the superiors, favouritism, poor wage, zero conflict resolution and having your concerns to HR fall on completely deaf ears, apply here at the Calgary location. No coworkers take ownership for any of their faults and blame others, the two managers would rather not ever be managers and have zero qualities for it, and the HR for NFI Canada doesn’t do anything to resolve any issues whatsoever. You also can look forward to being underpaid for your workload. 

Not an ideal place to work. The benefits were perhaps the only okay thing about it. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
People work as a team.  Head office management were very nice when visiting the warehouse... plenty of O.T.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
I never had any stressful time in the company, everything went smooth.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Everyone work together.  We used to have a group meeting once a week, unless there was something important for us to be informed ASAP.  NFI's culture is like a family group.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Typically, just go to work, do your things which you already know, take your breaks and go home.

Great place to work overall. it is very much so a team environment as everyone is willing to help and teach each other.  
Unfortunately, this does fall short with the management side as some are not as willing to provide help when needed as they do not seem to comprehend how to guide their fellow team members even when asked directly for guidance. 
The company does promote a healthy work environment as they do encourage breaks and the office does have a games area where the employees can play various games including pool and ping pong. 
Unfortunately, due to some changes and decisions made recently the employee satisfaction level had changed in my option.
