a typical day at work would be getting yelled at by management for 30 minutes and then left to our own devices for 8+ hours at a time. workplace culture was excellent with most everyone that worked there being approachable and friendly, the worst part of the job was the management as they were never around when you needed them and when you did see them they wouldn't even acknowledge you for another half hour

The hours were great, I learned i can carry over 50lbs and not break my back.
The management was perfect and well put together, everything was done either before or on time!, we hada  very open range of culture and we did stop and learn a little about each person and their background


The best part of working at Kdays, was the people you meet.

A typical day at work is coming into the office to get ready and see where you will be working for the shift. The responsibilities vary depending on where you are placed that day. During work, you will often meet different types of guests and be asked a range of questions. You are given a radio to use in case you require assistance from a supervisor or for communication between co-workers on work-related discussions.

I loved my job at Northlands have been with the company for many years but times are changing here, soon the doors will be closing sad. I have worked for the food service industry then moved on to the office did that for about 6 years loved it. I had a chance to move to the bank counting and entering the daily sales really like this job but it is coming to an end.

worked as temporary labourer in Stores for Northlands Park, during the summer of 2016.  Summer time is busy with K Days and Canadian Derby, plus all the extra work with clearing out Colisseum.  Great people to work with, work was a lot of fun, wish it was permanent and not just temp.  Got to drive a Gator, Cargo Van, and 5 ton truck.

my day of work consisted of handling of large sums of money,as well supervised up to 10 employees on a daily basis.i learned a lot from all the courses i attended (deal us in) was just one of the many courses i enjoyed taking while i was employed with them.

1. Had to maintain the security of the horses and property of Northlands Park.
2. Assist the horses on and off the track.
3. Check ID of people entering the property as not everyone was allowed to enter.
4. I would put this job in the top 2 as my most favorite place I worked because I was around the horses.

I learned a lot from this company but I need a job where I can apply my recent education to. The staff was always great to work with and treated everyone fairly. I met a lot of great clients and grew fond of them. I didn't have much trouble working here, my supervisor always tried to help out as much as possible when I needed something.

Winning payouts to guests. Diverse customer Service Skills daily. Maintain reports. Supervise staff.  Hard to do shift work, but great place to start and get customer service experience.

You would continuously learn about farm culture and livestock care. Due to society changing they figure that the dollar is more important than informing people to know how the food is grown and harvested before getting to their plate.
