What is the best part of working at the company?
Great people. The managing partner is incredible to work for. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
There was nothing stressful about working for Northstar. There was always someone to help if needed. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
It’s a family-oriented vibe. Everyone gets along well and supports each other. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
A typically day included coming in to the office, greeting everyone and getting to work, processing paperwork.

Northstar is full of great people with great potential. Their lack on organization and in-ability to make decisions is their week point.
  The equipment is getting older and lack of proper maintenance is a huge issue.
  Safety program is lacking with no real leadership or follow ups. Little to no disciplinary actions taken so the field staff pretty much get away with what ever they want. Most are just there for a check and show no loyalty or care about the company or equipment.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Traveling out in the bush and oilfield facilities 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Driver/operators are hard to deal with at work

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Not good,  very unfriendly and hard to make friends there

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Get up early , head to shop. Warm up truck, find out where job is and head out to location.

Typical day at work was locating hidden oilfield services underground. I learned how too read and follow line locator steaks and rite of ways. Management was great just as long as you were professional. Meet lots of awesome people and co-workers. Hardest part of the job was too working in the winter with the frozen ground. Most enjoyable part of the job was too always get call backs.

Company is working hard to give good work and do things right, not perfect but has mostly great people who have done lots to improve.  Seen a big change of attitude in the past year, they try to do things right, are helping people.  Online complainers are guys who used to work here who screwed up and got fired because they wouldnt change.

I put almost 7 years with the company had a great time there even though they have some office staff issues to address and to treat the guys making the company money alot better and show some appreciation for the hard work and dedication to there customers.

it was a family run company and they were for the most part respectful and fairly organized. they treated most with respect and decency that you dont always recieve in other companies

Pay is decent work is ok, basically the same drama you would encounter everywhere else. You're expected to do 4 people's jobs and your own without any appreciation. 

Poor management and wages. Junk iron culture if nepotism. Complete failure to accept responsibility for failures. Miserly supply system. High turn over. Poor training.

We all have our different opinion the grass never greener on the other side it’s a great place to work great bunch of guys a lot of  guys been there 7+ years
