NWR Partnership

NWR is a new organization.  Well a decade old, but still new comparatively.  

Very inconsistent application of it's standards across the refinery units.  The culture has high hopes, but the organizations size and resources make most ideas unachievable.   

The GM does a good job of alienating workers, creating an environment of fear in the morning meetings, and reorganizing the structure to further compartmentalize the business.  The turnover rate speaks for itself.

The middle management/office staff are mostly good people. They try hard and have historically been poorly compensated (Pay reductions, usually poor bonuses).  

The pay is adequate for hourly staff.  Benefits and RRSP matching are also generous.  

Hardest part of the job is ignoring the chaos.  Keeping your head down, working the best you can is what will keep you sane working here.  If you expect to be able to create positive change... you will likely build resentments.  

A great place to work, nothing more, nothing less.

The management team has a really firm handle on the project execution plan, all the while maintaining cost savings as mush as humanly possible for the Owner, CNRL.

10 hour days starting with tool box talk and stretches 
every day is a new experience

the hardest part is sometimes there is not enough gear and you have to search for it , this slows down production.

Working atmosphere and work culture was what I enjoyed most.Team work was its plus point. Recognition of the employees contribution keeps your spirit high and a fun place to work with..

Since new company lot of learning opportunity and helps to improve knowledge.

The managers are more into apply pressure not good leaders.

The work load is higher and no work life balance. 

Very busy work environment. Everyday brings new challenges. Lots of learning opportunities. Very friendly team players and everyone is welling to help and contribute to the success of the refinery.

It was and still is a very interesting project involving mega teams for design and construction.
NWR is a new company with great work opportunities during design, construction and operations.

I can say working in the field is very different than working in an downtown office.
I have been working the construction faze for an year and a half and now I am on the commissioning and start-up faze.

Great management and team atmosphere. I was involved in looking after the commissioning teams for turning over the units from construction to the operations transition team. Very busy and fast paced job.

Overall NWR Partnership was a good experience and pleasant site to work at. They have a very professional workforce and great management team that takes care of their people..
