-a typical day at work is usually fair and decently challenging.
-this workplace has taught me that hard work only gets you so far and the best person to look after your self is yourself.
-the management at best can is over redundant and at worse woefully incompetent. Having no understand of what is happening at a moment to moment basis constantly playing a game of reaction and lashing out at there workers in spitefull and petty ways like denying days off on a whim and then allowing many workers to call in with our reprecussion.
-the culture is that of a union. This perticular union non of the membership are honest and constantly cause issues and try to sabotage coworkers for brownie points.the corporate and union are constantly at odds and frustrations get vented onto the worker and not management or union.
-the hardest part of the job is not the work or hours but the way management treats there workers like less then human looking for any excuse to spite like denying time for an appointment or tricking tpts to leave work when injured to claim it wasn't a work related injury. Gossip slander spite and prettiness are rules of central stampings.
-the most enjoyable part of the job has been completing a job/task with cooperation with competent managers and co workers despite the negative attitude of the whole place. But that is an exception not a rule. The rule is spite.


A typical work day is very repetitive and boring. Some days I made over 1500 of the same part. There are many dangers here. Sharp parts, robots, cranes, stacks of material that can (and has) fallen on people. In the past 5 years, there have been two fatalities at this company. A crane operator was crushed by a large steel coil and another employee was killed on a separate occasion by stack of bins being knocked onto them by a forklift. Loss of limb is not uncommon either, earning Central Stampings the nick name of "Finger Factory".
Most people who work there seem unhappy. Managers have a quota for the number of people they write up every month, so they're always looking for someone to harass. They demand production quotas that the machines are incapable of producing. I worked there a year and the turnover was so high that I stopped making friends because they might only be there a few weeks and people who had been there for months might disappear at any time. You are a temp until they decide they like you enough to get hired on. Then you must undergo a grueling 60 day gauntlet. They will be watching you closely for any excuse to fire you.

A typical day starts early in plant environment which is cooperative through out the day.
I have learned the strong professionalism while working as Engineering Student in Corporate office. The management at work is very proactive for projects and tasks with strong planning and initiation.

Co-workers are helpful, friendly and cooperative. They engage excitedly in their work which brings them success in every project they involve.

The hardest part of the job was Engineering Project Management for new employee in fast paced environment but with all the cooperation form different departments, it is very much possible to handle effectively.

The most enjoyable part of the job was to analyze and solve different engineering problems that comes up during various projects. Specific techniques and troubleshooting methods were used which were fun to learn and apply, while engaging with different professionals such as technicians, tooling engineers, vendors and project managers.

I worked at Central Stampings for 8 months. I started as a TPT.  It is one of the worst places I have ever worked. The job is very physically demanding. They only hire people on who they like, you can be a TPT there forever, there is no set time they have to hire you on at. They give the TPTs the worst jobs. One of the TPTs was there for 2 years and still was not hired on and was a great worker. They are rude and disrespectful. Management is just terrible. Worst management I have seen in a long time. Terrible environment, no job security. 
They let me go after 8 months with no reason at all, they had me work my full shift then let me go for no reason, complete waste of time, I invested my time there for 8 months and was told I was doing well and they let me go for no reason. Stay away from this place they will waste your time, and let you go for no reason. Also they will lie right to your face. The area supervisors are also disrespectful as well.

Production worker, got involved in Union and in Safety as appointed reps, Union was unprofessional and disloyal to many a member.
Politics played a big role, and there was always a struggle there.
Couldn't count on job security for there were secret ties between union and management.
Never suspended or fired, but always a target.
Learned that job security is no longer a given.Hardest part was who to trust and the lying being done covering up problems, outside the physically demanding work.
There are a few friendships I made.

Terrible place to work. You will start off as a TPT and their is no time frame as to when you will be hired on. They only hire people they like, they don't go by work performance. You can be a TPT for almost 2 years it is ridiculous. The supervisors have no respect what so ever and talk to you like you are nothing. If you are a TPT they will also put you on the worst job everyday. They also fire people for no reason. They kept me for 8 months then let me go for no reason, and made up an excuse as to why i was being let go. Just a terrible place to work, stay away from this place it's a total waste of time. Very high turnover rate.

Job here is not worth the money at all. They will hire you as a TPT, pay you minimum wage, not hire you on so you don't get benefits. People have been there over a year and are just a TPT even though they work 40+ hours and expect the most out of you. Work is not worth the pay, most management is cool, some are extremely inexperienced and will boss you around meanwhile they don't even know how to fix things or manage work properly.

I would only recommend working here if you are very desperate.

Be easy going, chat around, meet people and do a little work. And you will be safe and sound.

They don't assess your performance at all, but how you communicate with people. Take everything easy.

Even you can go with your friends for a drink during the day. That's what some of their employees do. 

In the begining they will ask you a lot about your capabilities and what you can do, but in the end there is not enough to do that you get bored.

The absolutely worst company I have ever worked for. Was like working in a 3rd world country. Safety is only upon convenience for them. I'm sure that the 9 years I have been away that the environment around the plant has been poisoned beyond repair.
 Only if you are desperate for work should you apply to the company. The pay is substandard and the managers are like rabid dogs except for a couple good people.

This was a first job out of school and it was a good place to learn and grow. 
Training program was good and helped me with all the tools I needed.
Senior employees at one plant were great in helping someone new feel welcome and I felt comfortable asking questions helping me to learn.
Not all plants have the same management style.
