National Post

The people I worked with and dealt with on a daily basis were great. My manager trusted that her staff knew how to handle the workload, but was always there to assist when needed. If the department hadn't been dismantled and moved to Ottawa, I would probably still be an employee.

Little feedback, long hours spent in front of the computer, not a lot of collaboration. Enjoyed being able to assign/edit without a lot of interference. Despite cutbacks, buyouts and layoffs staff remains positive.

I'm a freelancer.  I was always given a clear and concise idea of what they were looking for with enough time to fulfill all requirements and expectations.

Had many great years at the National Post with an excellent team. The environment allowed me to grow in my position and allowed a large degree of autonomy.

The National Post is as good a newspaper as any other, except its fake conservativism. It's not conservative; it's just a cranky liberal rag that panders to the status quo.

I really enjoyed working at the post. I was a super junior reporter and got the chance to explore various sections (web editing, book reviews, lots of writing for politics). 

Bad place to work, they do not help you the have 2 people in the department who sit in the office and not help the shippers. These 2 are known as the pathetic "team leads"

Working in this department , made me brave , interacting with clients and co - workers.. The day to day objectives we always meet and exceeded, lots of new things to learn

Very caring about their employees, despite the difficult economic environment in this field. Of course, due to that Internet thing coming along, much smaller than before.

Work starts at 1.30am and goes on till you finish all the flyers.
