National Trust

Processed daily banking transactions,inputted payroll, handled the ordering of cash, balanced ATM daily, assisted with loans and mortgage departmemt. Processed GIC"s and RRSP's administration for clients. Handled safety deposit boxes and processed court orders for garnishments to clients accounts. This was a Snr position but had leave since I wanted to advance by taking Mutal Funds License, unfortunately there was too many people in branch that already had, therefore the company refused to pay for the course.

Due to the small size of the group, all of us were asked to 'wear many hats'. I was involved in the following:

	Participated in the creation of National Trust’s proprietary conduit and the adoption of hedging strategies for securitizations
	Created mortgage pools for securitization in accordance with asset/liability management strategies
	Issued mid-term notes (bonds) for cash management purposes
	Provided advisory services to the retail lending and deposit-taking lines of businesses

Travelling through out Ontario and part of Western provinces to meet customer and staff. Promoting new product/service to customers and staff. Worked with the best people ever, great management very supportive and helpful. Learning new skills every day, always wanting to do more for my management. There was nothing I did not like about the job.

Opening the mail and disbursing, typing up letters from the dicta phone for the different department managers, greeting customers in face and on the phone, working as a teller once a month on a Saturday.

It was a great place to work, wonderful employees, work was "fun".
We didn't have individual financial goals, we were just expected to do our best in sales in order for the branch to attain it's financial goal.

As General Manager my role had many roles, including bookkeeping, dealing with governing agencies such as MOE, Government Agencies, Health Unit, Canadian Coast Guard.  Working with the public on a daily basis was enjoyable.

It has been a while since National Trust the company have merged to other companies.  My experience there were the great people I worked with and as a Trust Accountant, I have learned how the department's responsibilities.

I enjoyed my time with the company and learned many things over the years.  The only reason that I left this job was due to downsizing and needing to relocate in order to keep my job.

Great benefits, high targets, full  support from managers and coaching sessions.  Good hours and convenient locations, good atmosphere and friendly people

I have not worked for the National Trust so can't really comment on this site, or offer any useful information for jobseekers.
