Neighbour

A typical day at work involved shelving the books and movies on the carts, after that I would shelf read a specific section. Normally, my supervisor at the library would have a craft planned for the kids programs that they would want me to set up. If this was not the case I was also asked to weed books off the shelves for either disposal or sale.
     I learned a lot about organization and adaptability because of the strict way books must be organized and because I was working at three different libraries.
     My co-workers were very kind and patient with me because this was my new job and I was completely new to the surroundings. They took the time to give me a tour and show me how it's done at each library.
     The hardest part of my job was working at the smaller libraries because it was so easy to run out of things to do and find new things to do and to take initiative. The most enjoyable part was helping people find their books because I really enjoy helping people and making their day a little easier.

Typical Day:
Turn off all machinery, empty the skimmers, do a backwash 3 times a week, take out or put in the navigator (pool vacuum), skim the top of the pool, check chemicals and add chemicals if needed according to current levels.

What I learned:
I basically learned how to take care of a pool.

Management and Co-workers:
The management was my neighbour so there were no issues and I did not have any co-workers.

Hardest Part of the Job:
Removing any dead animals from the pool.

Most Enjoyable Part of the Job:
Flexible hours, and being allowed to use the pool anytime.

Usually, work on Saturdays upon request from fellow neighbors. I charge $10-$20 per lawn depending on size. It has allowed me to become more aquatinted with my neighbors. It can be challenging especially if the lawn is located on a hill. Overall it is very rewarding work that I feel has given me valuable work skills such as work ethic, public relations/communication, attention to detail and time management.

Being a respite caregiver is a skill that not many people have. you get the unique opportunity to work with children that have disabilities and in turn, have to find ways to communicate with them if they are not able to speak

Kids are very busy...I have a younger sibling, sorry I had experience. Small children are very busy, I have also learned time management with children. The hardest part of this job was keeping up with the children.

A typical day working as a babysitter was excellent i worked for 4 hours after school taking care of the children. I learned ,many skills and how to work with children.

It is a pleasant company, very busy from March to October, the treatment is friendly and they care about their employees. Good atmosphere and paid on time. The level of demand is high, with very good quality standards, I recommend this company 100%.

My neighbor was great to work for. I learned a lot from her about home renovation and maintenance. I would gladly work for her again anytime, for both indoor and outdoor work.

This was for my neighbours and I worked there when I was younger to have more experience with getting a job.  Cutting grass, weeding, maintenance etc...

Babysitting was a great work experience and enjoyable too. As someone who likes kids, it was a fun environment where time management was needed along with responsibility and routine.
