Long hours and when its going its good work and pays well but you don't know if your work the next day till 8pm the night before. Sometimes they want to jew your hours as in drive time to a different location and will make you drive to location without paying compensation. 
Pay was good but weather you know if you have work the next day is stressful. 
Poor management they have no clue what they are doing. Left a company with consistent work and a work truck to them saying they were “super busy lots of OT and pays more will make a lot more money and no time for hunting during November” in which case i worked 2 weeks of November and December was completely dead too. 

Typical day at work was meet at the shop or onsite, load materials and equipment and go to work after a toolbox meeting on site. Out of all previous employers would say they had the best j-man to apprentice ratios allowing for a very educational experience for those willing to learn. Advancement is respectfully performance based with a lot of guys who were contract having leadership experience running their own jobs in service and maintenance. Bring your own truck and tools and your compensated for it.

Management is the worst I’ve ever experienced. There was zero workplace professionalism. Everyday as an apprentice was basically a free for fall. Show up to the shop and hope you get picked to head out to the field for the day. The company is ran by a group of friends and if you don’t fit it you’re pretty much screwed and just used as a number. Worked there for 5+ years and was treated like nothing when things slowed down and laid off with zero acknowledgment of my loyalty to the company. 

Worked here for a couple years and things were good.
As soon as the slowdown hit the management seemed to think they were to good to put in some effort in finding work for employees, also took away rrsp matching.
Still have friends there but none of them are happy.
Main office is just a hub to send guys up north without an increase in pay or days off.

Overall, NexSource is a great place to work. You can tell that they really care about you and your family. They frequently do things for the office and field staff throughout the year such as BBQs. Corporate and safety culture have improved tremendously. The benefits are great, having matching RRSPs. Great company who values their staff and safety. 

the owner of the abortion of the side deal to operating this company has no ethics. He is a thief and doesnt mind stealing from his customers to sell the stuff back to them, Grande prairie is full of people like this unfortunetly. way to many back door deal and everything has to be a secret so customers dont know they are getting screwed. I quit from them and have been happy since leaving

-drive every day to various locations and perfom calibrations or repairs on diffrent end devices.
-co-workers are great easy to get along with 
-hardest part about my job is being away from family
-most enjoyable part is the freedom of being in the bush and experiencing new things wheather it be work related or your surroundings

Nexsource is a place where management/executives could care less about its people..Very thankless organization.  People only succeed if you are willing to stroke egos and if you don’t eventually you are replaced. Dedication and commitment mean nothing to these people from what I have seen. Poor leadership attributes to that. 

Lowest paying E/I company. Management lacks motivation. Never new clients or work. Never know what you're doing until the morning of. Basic ppe supplied. Employees always frustrated. Hardly enough work to keep all employees working 40 hours a week. 

2 words -  Complete Joke!

Employees hold no value in managements eyes. Do yourself a favour and never consider working for this company!! If you don’t mind and want to be stabbed in the back, then go for it, they’ll love you.
