Very impressive company to grow with and achieve your ambition. Hard work pays off, good opportunity to excel in your field. Skill trades are excellent in their ability to produce consistently. Management is very, very accommodating to individuals in need. Great effort to ensure everyone has what they need to succeed. Work atmosphere is a team effort that accomplishes its goals. Staff is knowledgeable and willing to seek any assistance when needed. Very open to communication and resourceful for all levels.

As long as you show up, stay away from some disgruntled workers drama, and do your job, which is why you were hired, you should have no issues working for NEP. They hired me right out of trades school and its been 20+ years and counting for me.  Job security has been a huge benefit so far. NEP is constantly improving job processes to stay competitive in the manufacturing market. The pros heavily outweigh the cons. Would highly recommend working for NEP, if the opportunity arises.

If it was not so tragic it would be funny... QA / QC is a joke staffed by level one NDE types, level nothing NDE types that misrepresent their qualifications and burned out biker types that pay more attention to their mustache then they do the job. If you are related to a supplier you can get hired and dragged in to the mess almost immediately.  Pay is good hours are OK and engineering management is pathetic. Production management and the shop floor keep this place afloat.

Several different QA Managers over the years - revolving door. The department is one big dogs breakfast with the code but not code attitude. Nothing has changed except a new mouthpiece is in place . HR has no clue and never will even tho they have worked for 6 different employers in 10 years.  All talk and no substance. One smart auditor will blow them all out of the water.

No matter how hard you work or are dedicated to the team they still find reasons to criticize your work. If they can find so.eone better off the streets they have no issue letting you go no matter the time you have put in. I've seen them let people go from brantford plant who were hard workers and I've seen it in our home plant in niagara

Good place to work if your just trying to ride out your last few years until retirement. If you have any interest in learning and moving forward  there's little opportunity. The Engineering and management staff is the type to blame everyone but themselves and will look to throw anyone under the bus to  negate they're own failures and oversight.

NEP is big on employee culture and in rewarding their employees who put the effort in.
There is open communication between departments where collaboration is key. 
They also pride themselves on putting on fun events for both shop floors employees and office employees to take part in. 
Overall it is a great place to work!


They work you hard. Management is extremely weak both in their personal skills and problem solving ability.  Shop and production management works hard and they are not at fault for the lay off.  Engineering and QA/QC is a joke.   The office culture is one of backstabbing and aggression

Backstabbing and gossiping. If that is your thing, this is your place. Trained by a guy that had been there four years without a raise. Monday top Friday shifts were good.

In my time here the work is steady no layoffs, management have always been good to me. show up to work everyday do your job and they will leave you alone.
