I wish I was still able to be working for Nintendo as I have loved video games my whole life. I have nothing negative to say about them other than how they handle COVID-19. I had my last shift at rec room downtown in March 2020. Right after, COVID made its mark in Toronto. Obviously because as a BA our job is heavily based on interaction, our job understandly became redundant. As months went on there was very little communication as to what was happening or if there was anything else that could be offered. We would find out that some coworkers were called up to do a few things from the office. Fall comes around and they make it seem like everyone is gonna be having shifts again but again, covid. Then silence after that. Any emails to my team manager went unanswered regarding the future of my job with Nintendo. As someone who is beyond passionate about video games, it legitimately hurt. Communication, communication, and communication is ALWAYS KEY.

Working as a promotional sales ambassador was so much fun! The hours spent running the day-to-day procedures of the kiosk always felt like they went by so fast. Having to organize and coordinate special events centered around hardware/software releases was stressful, but also fun, and having such a supportive and positive team environment helped tremendously in getting the important work done! Some difficult aspects included remembering to gather feedback from customers and consumers of Nintendo product, but overall the experience was absolutely worth it and I recommend any Nintendo fan to apply if given the opportunity.

Nintendo treats their employees very well. In order to perform your job you must be able to play all of the latest Nintendo games in order to teach customers how to play them. rather than an office I worked at multiple retailers that sell Nintendo products. I mostly demonstrate those game so customers can get their hands on the game before choosing to buy. I also provide information to lost shoppers during the holiday season. I worked independently since I moved locations but there are sometimes events where you will work with other Nintendo Employees.

Most of the day customers call in to scream at me while I politely assist them with their tech issues.
Management is run very well however schedules are made last minute and the hardware for employees are dated (10+ year old PCs).
The pay is low but the work is easy so not a huge deal.
Best part of the job is when customers frequently demand to speak to a supervisor to give praise about my tech support.

Awful people and an extremely toxic work environment. High turnaround with employees. It is difficult to get help from upper management and if they do help, they do so condescendingly. Nobody knows what's going on and there is a huge lack in organizational efforts. 

This is a really fun job. It's part-time and the schedule is very flexible. You get to work unsupervised so you have to be motivated on your own. There is no selling and little pressure and your core goal is to answer questions and make customers happy!

It's great to share your passion for games with like minded people and educate buyers on our products. 

The team we work with are really nice and easy-going individuals who know their products and know how to get clients enthused with Nintendo products.

A typical day of work includes standing in a retail location and sampling to people of all ages. I learned to interact with patrons in a friendly and enthusiastic manner while giving them the most information in the least amount of time. Overall, this job was treated like more of a hobby.

Fun Job, Great Time. I just wish the job wasn't based on the situation going on in the world right now. The team is great. management as well. only issue is their overzealous insistence that the switch lite isn't smaller than the original switch? its an adjective they will REFUSE to use.

They treat people with dignity and consideration.  They encourage open communication at all levels of the company and honour commitments.  All the staffs are the team players and fun to work with. This is how they can produce consistent, high-quality work which is accurate and complete.
