Reception is a fast paced, fly by the seat of your pant's kind of role. Its never boring, and that's why I love it. Its full of variety, and constant learning. As you gain knowledge in the many sectors of our Law firm, you gain interest in advancing in your career. Management is very flexible with scheduling and compassionate towards personal matters. The staff perks are numerous, with a work-paid social event every single month, not to mention all of the extra fun things they do for every season/holiday.  Since coming to this company, I knew right away I never want to leave! (and trust me, I have worked a lot of jobs in my years) The community involvement/ fundraising is also a source of pride, as you get the opportunity to participate in helping so many causes. If you are looking for your forever job, I highly recommend Nixon Wenger. 

I worked at Nixon Wenger for 8 months before starting law school. I worked with the Personal Injury and Family departments, and had a fantastic experience both professionally and personally. 

The training offered at Nixon Wenger is exceptional. I had no experience working in law prior to this role, but the firm trained me step by step and helped me understand both everyday tasks and their wider implications. Furthermore, Nixon Wenger has a great library of legal resources alongside an extensive collection of department specific precedent forms and checklists. 

My experience with my co-workers and superiors was tremendously positive as well. I found the lawyers and paralegals both very knowledgeable and approachable. They were always available to answer any questions or concerns. My co-workers were all amazing to work with and I never felt excluded or out of place. 

Overall, I would highly recommend Nixon Wenger to anyone pursing a legal career. 

I have been working at Nixon Wenger LLP since May of 2022. I work in the Family Department as a remote Paralegal and feel like I am truly part of a team. Having such kind and supportive collagues makes working an enjoyable experience. It is easy to love your job when you are treated equally, with respect, and when you are shown daily that your opinion matters. As a new employee, there are some things for me to learn and improve on. Despite this, I feel that I have been given the time and opportunity to become more comfortable and grow within my role as well as the company. My training and onboarding at Nixon Wenger LLP exceeded my expectations and I was extremely thankful for the amount of resources I was given. I worked at Nixon Wenger as a summer student during the summer of 2022. I could tell from my first day that the work environment at the firm was top-tier. Every interaction I had was extremely positive. All the lawyers, legal assistants, and paralegals I had the pleasure of working with were incredibly kind and helpful, and the work was very exciting. If you are interested in practicing law or work as part of a growing and prestigious law firm in the interior of BC, I cannot recommend applying for an open position at Nixon Wenger enough.

Simply put, Nixon Wenger is an incredible place to work. The staff are friendly and professional, and the workplace culture is downright awesome. There are endless opportunities to develop professional skills and engage with  genuinely interesting work while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. I felt welcome from the day that I started and would not hesitate to recommend Nixon Wenger to anyone looking to work in the legal industry.

I started at Nixon Wenger and regretted it within a week. They treated me and co worker with disrespect and never cared to properly train me. I got less than a week of training and fired because I wasn’t trained well enough. Instead of allowing me to learn, they just fired me. They lied to me about my pay as well as told me they are focused on helping people learn, but when I tried, I was met with dead ends as they didn’t actually want me to grow. 

Management is awful and unprepared to handle difficult situations. No real perks to speak of - no bonuses or benefits to good employees. Pay is decent but difficult to get raises and appreciation - in fact they treat unreliable employees better. The only way to get them to listen to you is to have a panic attack in their offices. 

The pay at this company sucks, they have no desire to keep/retain good employees. The partners are catty shrews, all of them. HR and management have no idea with they are doing. Nixon Wenger is a poorly managed company and they show favouritism to certain employees. The better you are at your job the less you feel appreciated by them. 

I have had an excellent experience working for Nixon Wenger, it's a great environment. Competitive pay, very kind and understanding employees, friendly work place, opportunities for growth and a very genuine involvement in the communities. 

You get the Opportunity to work with a team but the management can be a little absent. There are many benefits to working at a lawfirm like health, goodie days etc.
