No. 1 Collision

Been 2 locations. Experience varies in each shop. Will mention Vernon location in this case. Colleagues you work directly with are great, though between white collar management (gm, production, upper management) and blue collar, (painters, technicians, detailers, mechanics, parts etc) there is a disconnect and that results in a hot potato of blame between the two parties. It gets loud, verbally and environmentally ESPECIALLY when the shop is busy. A technician can do everything right, finish jobs on time three weeks in a row and get no gratitude, but you make a mistake and you have never worked hard a day in your life. Lots of ego. Lots of he said-she said. 

Word of advice: if you apply and work non-managerial, make friends with technicians. There’s a lot of great no-nonsense/no drama guys in this industry who have been at it for over a decade and they will teach you a lot if you help each other out. Their knowledge can take you places.

3 stars for knowledgable people, -2 for toxic management treating staff like machines.

I have learnt a lot about the autobody repair industry and grown to love working in this field over the years.

Knowing that I get to come to work and I am faced with positive attitudes, encouraging team members and management really is a main reason I enjoy going to work at the Vernon Drive location. Like any job, there are moments of frustration and stress however this company is fantastic at encouraging work-life balance. You can tell Management values and respects the employees and vice versa. 

I love working here. The work environment is one of the best, professional yet down-to-earth, very supportive and fun. I still remember the day I was interviewed by the Owner years ago and he was super nice. Super thankful that he hired me. Majority of the employees has been working there for many years and maybe will be retiring there as well. Very good company and well managed.

No.1 Collision provides a safe and clean work place for all staffing. Great culture. Company is well equipped for tooling needs for technicians, and state of the art facilities to work in. The support you get from management is unlike any other company.

Positive workplace where there is trust, cooperation and support from Management. A company that has enhanced my skills. There is a good and open communication with all the teams. Fun and friendly environment.  A great workplace where they are flexible to employees work/life needs. It's not a question that I lasted here for 8 years and up to the present. 

I really love this job. I never woke up excited to start a  workday as I do since start working at No 1 Collision.  There is always something new on each day. People is nice and collaborative.  Manager is awesome! you can feel  a zero tension environment.

I am new with the company, but from the start I have enjoyed a positively work environment, fare  management, and looking forward to grow with in the organization
