Never given a chance, no help or cooperation from sups or entrenced club members, if your family did not get you in it will be a rough ride. If this is your ONLY oppurtunity take it but plan on moving on its not a place for new techs, lots of turf protection and no union so be ready to be aggravated when you get home to the family. Safety is not an option if you want to keep working there its a 100 year old factory, techs who are there will man new plant. Bailed for better job less pay.

In this role of accounts payable, main responsibilities were, creating cheques, matching backup to invoices, investigations.  This role advanced my accounting knowledge and lead me to further my career in this field.  All co-workers were great to work with and the hardest part was when the division was sold. I enjoyed working at Domtar Packaging (Norampac) and miss the family atmosphere.

Quality control, and customer satisfaction are second only employee safety and security.  Learned group dynamics, leadership, and how to think like a manager.  Good team spirit, with above average co-worker commitment to achieving goals.  The hardest part of the job is deciding to seek advanced career opportunities, thus leaving this job.  The willingness to be taught by senior management, I found to be exceedingly desirable.

Small plant with lots of internal power struggles.  The culture used all the correct buzz words but training and team work was lacking.  Back door meeting and go around was the normal operational procedure. My position had been filled by 5 people over 6 years.

a typical day is a 8 hour shift with two breaks and a half hour dinner.i learn how to work with others like a team.get along good with management.my co-workers are great to work with.the hardest part of the gob is working in the heat.is working with your coworkers and doing good for the company.

This really is a great place to work. The pay is excellent and the work environment is very safe and clean. Spent 10+ years with this company and left on good terms. 
  The only downfall is that opportunity for advancement is not based on skill set or desire to work hard.

Maybe from higher ups tension seemed to keep building the last few years, always talk about something happening to us, our plant, and never good things

Jellco is a very small piece of the large corporate puzzle, and retains some of the small company charm. Norampac offers much opportunity for growth & advancement across Ontario, Quebec and the U.S.

Norampac is a good place to work if you like stability/routine/structure.
Lots of exposure to office politics.
Production floor is unionized environment.
Safety is paramount in this company.

Unionized shop.Good wages and benefits.Shift rotation every 2 weeks. Days,Afternoons,Night.Room for advancement.Overall,a great place to work,and the people take the time to train you on the various machines.
