In the beginning, they will train you well and always state the company cares for you. Which is untrue. You get all the shouting from customers and foul languages and you cant do anything. The management states its your job to hear all the foul languages (indirectly)

Recently, they also stated that you have to sell TV/Internet/home phone to every customers on call even if they have difficulty paying their phone bill. Since it is your job, now assuming you cant reach the target then no bonus. On asking how to do that since customers already feel they are getting robbed. The management states not to worry, you will get used to it. 

Best response from a customer was that they stated "Bell screws me up with the unexpected charges on phone bills and now you want me to buy other services too"

If you look into the management, they internally promote themselves and create new positions with their own names and hire themselves within. However, the associates have to struggle like min 10 years to get into the management level and if you are asian then good luck with it. Being white, I have seen them discriminating asians but they do it secretly and they give the stupidest reasons.

Nordia does not care about its employees and that is why you do not see employees staying longer than 1-2 years. Anyone staying more than that is because they have lost hope finding jobs in their own career or have been promised falsely by management.

A message to the TLs/ Management:

Do not assume the associates are fools and not aware of the tricks and tactics performed by you guys. Because TLs you guys were also once associates and if you think you can fool the associates, then you are the biggest fool to think like that.

The idea of this job is nice, working from home is great  however you only get two weeks of a condensed class showing you how to do the job before you are thrown to the wolves.  

You have support that is supposed to help you, every time you ask questions however the “helpful” answers are always along the lines of. “You should know this already.” You are told in training that people are there to help and support you but the truth is this place is just a complete circus; no one actually fully knows what is going on, you’ll get conflicting answers from the people who are supposed to know how to use all the tools they expect you learn & understand. 

I was excited about this job, I am no stranger to hard work, a lot of this stuff you will have to take extra time on your own to understand and that is part of the problem, you are not properly trained for the job you are expected to perform. I have never worked for a company where the people who are paid to assist you, don’t actually assist you at all. No one would ever expect me to take apart an engine without knowing the steps, I don’t understand how Nordia can expect its employees to do well when they are not supported in their daily job tasks, especially in the beginning when they are first learning everything.

working remote and flexibility with time off

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Can get hectic at times but few and far in between.  

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Pretty good as the remote position lends itself to working independently.  Would like more co-worker interaction to a point but my manager is super amazing at keeping me in the loop and answering and responding to my queries

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
I actually look forward to my work because I get to work the hours I want.  I get sufficient breaks and time in between calls.  I like that my team manager allows us to see the call queue  which makes me feel prepared for calls as oppose to not knowing when to expect it.  Less anxiety is experienced because of this ability to see queue.  I enjoy my job as I enjoy assisting customers with their needs.  It is quite gratifying knowing that I help people with their communication needs.

We've waited 2 years past our last contract renewal. In the meantime our duties have doubled and the company is punishing employees for its conflicts with the Union. We were working remotely but not receiving a pay increase since before the Pandemic
The union filed a grievance and the company retaliated by forcing us all to return to work on site.  The site has an awful echo and makes it very noisy for call taking. The temperatures are uncomfortable. 1 washroom shared amongst multiple businesses. Then they complain about time away from desk when you have to travel across the whole office just to get to 1 washroom. The pay is far less than other call centres doing same work. The treatment of employees has severely declined over the years. The expectations of duties has increased. The turnover is very high. Out of training classes of 20 they barely retain 4 employees. Currently moving on to new job myself. After many years there. It has become intolerable. 

Pretty sure these guys are guilty of wage theft. They have multiple systems you have to clock in and out on then they claw back time if you go to the washroom. Breaks are short. Very rigid in terms of being able to get off if you need to go to a medical appointment. 30 min lunch break unpaid is a joke. Insurance is weak. The pay starts as nice but then they claw back commissions based on how many hours you worked. After the learning period you are making like 15 an hour instead of 19. Toward the end of the month they toss endless misdirected calls at you till your commission is negligible because you are not paid per sale but based on metrics that they can manipulate on the back end if your commission is too high. They wait till a week before to release your schedule. They are often late on commission payouts. Training is rushed. Also seems they are in the process of outsourcing many of these jobs to their new centre in the Philippines. 

In effort to meet demands of client, Bell, agents are moved from one line of business to another with minimal training, certainly not being set up for success. Extremely difficult to do the job when unfamiliar with the numerous tools required to process a sale. Constant complaints from public about very poor customer service and lack of corporate ethics and greed of Bell Canada. Products offered particularly TV are not wanted by many due to unreasonable pricing and the shift from traditional TV (goodbye Bell Media) to online streaming platforms. Bells unsavory reputation is also a big deterrent to sales. Nordia needs to acquire more clients so that they are not so dependent upon Bell.

The people working there can be some of the nicest people I've ever met, management on the other hand is an absolute dumpster fire. They will say there is a lot of room for advancement but it's very reliant on who upper management is friends with. The pay is pretty good, but it wasn't worth the ridiculous demands for sales that are pushed on you in my opinion. Benefits are poor and they take a good chunk of your paycheck, you'd be better off getting private insurance. Overall, if you're in a bind, you might as well do it for a bit but I wouldn't suggest staying too long. It's difficult to explain the mental toll it takes and I saw too many people, including myself, just snap on the job.

Best part working there was meeting your colleagues and sometimes talking to customers, that is the ones that weren’t yelling at you .

Always being watched and criticized.  That is not coached but criticized, there is a difference.

Terrible working. Environment and there is no culture.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Stressful.  They wanted you to sell people packages they couldn’t afford.  Like the 82 year old man, crying,  that was going to loose his phone and they told me I should have sold him something.  His phone was going to be cut off.  Really.

Nothing they are the worst company ever. All about profits and deff not for the employee in any sense.  They grow the word termination around like it’s judgment day. Again worst company ever!!

Everything from the time you start training till you quit or get fired. It will 100% happen either way.

Toxic and overbearing. Demanding and ruthless in their stragities against clients and employees. They are basically predators.

Long, tiring, stressful and lacking any support from management.

Best part is if you're really good at selling then unlimited chance of higher earnings

The manager and supervisors constantly monitoring you including on what you're gonna say, if you're not hitting targets and you're flexible they could constantly move you around the company

Colleagues are great but when you're in B2B it could be very stressful

Working on residential first and i love that partnof that job but when they moved me to B2B thats where everything went downhill and im basically unmotivated
