Working as a Carrier is easy enough, and good for a bit of exercise.  Unfortunately, it pays very poorly, and worse, the District Representative who submits your wages can often make errors that result in your not being paid what you were promised.  Despite many attempts to reach out and correct this, the District Representative can just ignore you -- for months.  End result:  they do not pay for the work you have done.  If you do get everything sorted properly, a new District Representative can be reassigned to you, and then perpetuate the incorrect wage situtation again....and again...and again...

I have had 3 to 5 District Representatives and over that time I've had over 8 months of pay errors, and money not being paid to me when it was due.  None of them seemed to care, or make much effort to fix the situation.

If you choose to work as a Carrier, prepare to not be paid.

Please do not do this job, it is a literal trap for children who do not understand the worth of labour. On the day of delivery, usually Thursday, you literally will have NO time to do homework. Something not talked about enough is the fact that they expect you to pack that newspaper yourself aswell. INCLUDE THAT IN THE AD!!! It shouldn't be advertised as "newspaper delivery" if packing is also a responsibility, one which takes majority of the time may I add. I worked half a year here and I regret every minute 

I learned a lot on how to interact with people and to satisfy my customers. The hardest part was delivering, especially if there is bad weather. But the most enjoyable part of the job is definitely delivering which is ironic but meeting all the new people and seeing how they light up when they got their papers was honestly the best feeling.

The van that delivered the papers for me to deliver was often late to my house so my deliver schedule was delayed.  On Wednesday I would get the inserts that I would have to put together and then on Thursday morning I  would get the cover for the paper; it would have to be delivered on Thursday.  I did not work with any co-workers except the people that dropped of the papers, but I did not see them that often.

. Papers and flyers brought to my house and i had to put them together+put them in plastic bags in distribute them door to door
. Ask for help when needed 
. Hardest part was working in winter with all that snow
. It was fun because i met new people and learn lots of stuff

The pay was not worth the work but overall I enjoyed the experience. It kept me active and gave me working experience for the future, I also was informed of the weekly news since I delivered it.

This position required a lot of physical strength and was time consuming. It also involved staying outside in severe weather conditions.
I enjoyed the experience of being active and meeting new people. I gained a sense of punctuality and developed great communication skills.

I find being a newspaper carrier gruelling because of the weather ranging from cold to hot. To me it looked like it was endless when I follow the route to delivering newspapers to subscribers hour by hour. There's nothing exciting about this job.

As a middle school student back then this is a very productive job to have. Because you can be organized and hand out flyers at your own pace as long as you don't stay up til 10 pm at night. Even though money isn't big. It's a good start up.

I think that working at the Mirror is really good for people who are in middle school, as it does not take much time (depending on which route you choose) and it teaches you responsibility.
