Northern Industrial Insulation

Northern is a definite job you would want to work at if you were definitely looking for work more closer to home, as it is module job work and refinery positions in plants on site in the city of Edmonton. I love working for northern as they always have job openings in or around the city. They also have out of town positions as well so it all depends on what your willing to work with location wise.

I enjoyed working at Northern Industrial Insulation. Co- workers were nice. Pay was just average. It was nice to have flights on the job I was on so I didn’t have to drive to camp. It was a very nice camp where we were working. It was a maintenance job so not much overtime but this company only does maintenance jobs now I think.

Northern is a great company to work for. They were very supportive throughout my apprenticeship. Great leadership and the management were always available to talk.Stuart Olson is the parent company and they have great benefits and are really involved in the community as well as supporting apprentices and the trades in general.

Great place to work, very good management. Supervision always gets you an answer if a question arises.
Lots of hours if wanted. Benefits are pretty good for a non union company. Would work for them again, unfortunately I went a different route for now.

I loved the position but was micromanaged far to often and the wrong people given to much power to control what they didn't know how to control. Management needed far more education on management. more managers than workers.

This location of this particular job was a satellite office that hired insulators for work sites in the oil and gas industry. My co-workers were easy to work with but rarely in the office.

This is a company you would want to work for. The pay is good and the managent staff is awesome. There is room for advancement and the pay is good. only thing is your living out of a suitcase.

I would continue to work with Northern Industrial Insulation.  Most superintendents were good to work with, most trades were very safety conscious and not much resistance.

Atrocious management and very cheap company. This is a last resort company to work for. Greasy tactics especially when doing lay offs. I had to fight to get my paycheque.
