Working at Northern Lights is fun most days because the people you work with are really great and everyone gets along well and jokes together, the culture is relaxed and you enjoy a fair amount of autonomy in your tasks and schedule. Beware though that the pay rate is not adequate for the amount of responsibility, hard work, and daily stress you'll endure trying to do this job. It feels as though raises are non existent and expectations become increasingly unrealistic for such a small team. Management will outright mislead you about the potential for growth here and try to get you to work for the lowest possible wage. For a younger person with little experience this is a decent opportunity, for a more experienced person trying to make a comfortable living I would avoid this one. You'll save yourself a lot of stress and financial difficulties. 

The best part about this job is the people you work with, as with most jobs. There is very little space to manouver and work. Management is not open to hearing constructive criticism, and things that could be changed to improve their business. In my time working there, I have never seen someone given a warning or been written up, they jump straight to being fired. I have seen people be fired for making recommendations for bettering the company. I have also seen people be fired, just because the majority of the managers didn’t like you, no specific reason. The pay is very little for the great amount of stress that is put on the entire team. 

Pros: 
-Respectful workplace culture. Owners/upper management always take the time to say hello and will help if you need it. 
-Fun coworkers, staff events, etc.
-Management is open to new ideas. You can expand your roles and responsibilities as you grow.
-Very rewarding to make new wines and see customers enjoy them. 
-Fairly open culture regarding salary/benefits/raises. 

Cons:
-Very busy workplace with not enough physical space.
-Lots of unpredictable stresses like weather, equipment breakdowns, staffing shortages.

Bottom line: Fun and rewarding place to work if you enjoy problem solving and working as a team. Like any job, you should talk to your coworkers about wages and benefits to make sure you're getting paid fairly. 

Working at the new Northern Lights Estate Winery has been an amazing experience.  With many years experience working in the liquor industry this new business has allowed me to expand my knowledge and educate the public on a new industry to Prince George and the north.  This is a very busy, high paced business where all the wine experts have lots of fun working with each other and the public.  Our days are full of laughter and learning.  The hardest part of this job on most days is leaving for the day.  The days pass by quickly due to the high volume of customer service and stock of these great wines.

Management is very flexible, friendly, reliable & organized adding an overall positive work environment. Layout is set for functionality for servers convenience with just the right amount of tables not to get overwhelmed. Wine shop is gorgeous & guests always have a great time participating in tastings. All staff are extremely friendly & work well together as a team, no drama!

I'm always weary about working for small businesses because in my experience they tend to not have everything figured out. Northern Lights Estate was an amazing place to work with an exceptional managerial team! They have excellent communication and tremendous respect for their staff. The best part is the absolutely beautiful building that makes coming to work a dream! I miss working here!

Quiet for picking the. Berrys not much else to do there

I loved my coworkers and the work itself was fun but the pay was pretty low for the amount of labour and exposure to the elements you go through. I do recommend working for a summer job but wage is not sustainable

Great people, good atmosphere, easy work if you know how to cold call. Suoer fun to work here. Loved it honestly! If you like being outside and working with wine and stuff it's super fun

I was able to come and go as i wanted. they paid reasonable money for picking berries. Very nice management and they are a equal opportunity employer.
