Every shift I would show up get suited up wash up. Afterwards I relieve the morning cook and check the line so I can restock 
whatever needs restocking. After the line is all stocked I would go 
and get my rags and dish clothes along with sanitary water and cooking utensils. When all is said and done I meet with the 1st cook and we go over the specials for the night and figure the prices out then after that is done we start to prep the line and veg for out specials. Working at the Northern taught me a lot about team work and the ins and out of what goes on in a kitchen also what it take's to survive in the cooking industry. I loved my time at the Northern I had a lot of fun I got along with all my co workers especially my supervisor. The hardest part about that Job was the management we never knew when our shifts were it was always so all over the place.And as for the most enjoyable part of the job it would have to be working with a solid crew... For a bit there we had that line running like a well oiled machine

I only worked there for a few months but I routinely got called in to work. I was under trained in the menu, while also having to train others. The menu is too large for the cooks. We were constantly understaffed, and chewing through staff quickly because of how poorly managed the kitchen is. Most of the workers there are very nice with the exception of the snarky bartender.

good days bad days. payed min wage... most staff were great and a few not so good......i enjoyed working here for the staff. mostly. i worked the beerstore and the bar but due to me breaking my wrist aand burning out due to overworking myself i had to give notice for my health

I learned how to manage work hours effectively with other people in various work environments.  A typical day included cleaning two (2) pubs and up to 32 hotel rooms.

Work was stressful as a line cook, our boss was strict and unruly. I learned how to clean rooms and bar locations, prep cook and line cook. I got along with all my co-workers. Management was horrible. I loved and still love to cook.

The hotel has a restaurant and can serve breakfast until 1pm, has liquor store closes at 11pm everyday and has a tavern with 2 pool tables and every weekends we have different kinds of dj's and band

The company is okay,but  some of my co workers,are not good they just don't want to help others,because they knew the boss will not check them while working

Was a fun and enjoyable job, got to meet all kinds of people. Haven't worked at the Northern Motor Inn since 2012, do not know how the Owners of the hotel are now.

Family owned and operated motel with in suite kitchenettes. Queen sized beds. On site restuarant and bar. Live bands and poker on the weekends. Pool table.
