Northern Pulp

I was only employed here for the summer as a student. But I was employed full time. I was treated not as a summer student but as an actual employee. I was a labourer here and even though I would cut grass or operate a forklift, I had an absolutely amazing time and experience. Sure, it was hard work, but the people you got to work with made it fun. Everyone there would treat you like you were part of their own family and safety was first on everybody's mind. It was such an amazing experience and a great work environment.

Most days were the same, thinning seedlings and meeting quotas, learned about the growing of fir trees as I had planted them before and now saw the process from the beginning. Enjoyed working with the staff and management, hardest part of job was heat in greenhouse when the temperatures were high.  We had fans, water and told to take breaks and were watched closley for heat problems.

Northern Pulp was a good place to work i was only there for a few weeks for a shut dow. The management guys were great people to work for and the co workers were as well.The main job i was assigned for there was to change out the high pressure feeder. I also did some alignments, pump repairs, chain drive work and replaced some bearings. Most of my millwright experience came from New Page..

Was only there for a short 5 week unpaid work term but was a very positive experience, All employees that i had come in contact with were very nice/helpful, never had any issues with superiors and the environment was very pro safety so i was never uncomfortable with the tasks assigned.

steady paced assembly line operation. warehouse duties loading rail cars and trucks. working with millwrights and electricians to keep the assembly line process running.Working closely with fellow employees was most enjoyable.

It’s a very dirty job no matter what department your in except if your in the offices, great pay and benefits and lots of opportunities to grow in the company and okay co-workers, don’t recommend having your security clearance tags in the open while your out in public

Northern Pulp is a great work environment with many benefits while working there, great personal skills on management's side. Coming to work was great. Although staying late is expected some days, it it not over bearing.

It is a fast pace and good job for individuals who are eager to work. The pay is very good, and the employees are very friendly and welcoming. I enjoyed my time there, and would recommend anyone to work there.

Best company I’ve ever worked for hands down!! Lots of opportunities to advance with as management or in the skilled trades. Very competitive wages with great being its and pension.

Fast paced environment with progressive enhancements always on mind and always trying to improve processes to accommodate  production and environmental needs and requirements
