Nubold Industries

Its a wood working shop. Started as a Ma and Pop shop and its still run with that mentality. Depending on in what department your working in, your breathing in saw dust all day and it gets into your clothing and its very dry and dusty in the plant. There seems to be a lot of power struggles between supervisors considering what a small work environment it is and the way the supervisors talk about the other supervisors is unbelievable. Very cut throat back stabbing. The maintenance person is very difficult to get along with also. Massive attitude with that person. Very clicky environment. There are three women that hang out together ( nothing more than drama queens )and if you don't fit in with them they will cause you a lot of grieve. There are a few OK people there and hopefully you can figure out who you can talk to and who you cannot. They seem to let a few people get away with certain liberties and not others. One example is while I was working with a co-worker a supervisor came to us and he started telling me that I should be-careful or my co-worker will put "claim" on items. It took a while for me to realize what he was talking about but he was mocking my co-worker for being a "Native Canadian" which I had no idea he was until that moment. So if you really want to work in this type of environment then this place is for you. My advice is look elsewhere unless your really desperate for a paycheck. As for advancement, non-existent unless your nose is somewhere and even then its doubtful. Your decision on where you choose to work but don't say you were not warned.

this is a production plant that allows far too much freedom to certain individuals. People that are related to long time employed family members don't even have to work, they were allowed to walk about and talk to whomever they wanted to. If their performance was lacking or they made mistakes, supervisors would look to other individuals on the team to correct other than the family member that actually made the mistakes or issues. Management doesn't want to manage, they dictate what is to be expected and leave it up to the employees to comply. Even after non compliance no corrections were ever made. Under staffed shouldn't mean, to under manage. Then they decided to fire the Production Lead hand because he couldn't get the employees to do their work. They wouldn't fire bad employees but would fire employees that should have never been let go!!

They were very generous for people with illnesses in comparison to the other temp jobs I have worked for.  I ended up missing 10 days in a month because I had crohn's and they still kept me on.  In all honesty they could have just terminated me on my second month but ended up staying on for another 4 months after till my term was over.  The people there that you got to work with were amazing and fun to be around.  As long as you got your quota done they were happy, making everyone happy because you could get a couple minutes for yourself without getting into much trouble.  The other employee's always brightened up my day.

I recommend not to work here. The workers for the most part are amazing. Management sucks, definitely favoriting that goes on. Very stressful as it seems like a revolving door, no employee is happy. The pay is cheap.Overtime just about every Saturday even tho there is no work. This plant was without a plant manager for 6-7 months. Ever since the original owners retired and northern contours took over this place has gone downhill

I would often work long hours which wasn't bad because the environment and the rest of the team, but management never seemed to care about requests for help or perhaps another worker to more evenly distribute the workload. More often than not there would be a suprise order at the end of the day that they would demand be shipped out.

Nubold was a great place to work because all co-workers got along great. The salary wage is questionable though for the skills of the job required to do your job.

Tough work for not a lot of pay. You will be paid close to minimum wage for the maximum work. Good people to work with and good managers made up for it.

Job was fast paced but in a good environment,  everybody was always nice and ready to help if needed.  Very long days, you couldn't go home until the trucks were loaded and gone.

Coworkers are great, management not so much. Very frustrating to constantly be understaffed and forced to give up a Saturday for mandatory overtime.  

overall I enjoyed working with the team members. Some days were more stressful than others due to the time sensitive orders.
