The people are great. Thats all there is to it !

The worst health benefits across the private and public sector. Incompetent senior leadership across the board with constantly changing priorities. No work-life balance and no OT pay regardless of how many hours I put into it.

Highest turnover rate I have seen while the management team/CIO just watch it happen under their noses. No room for growth regardless of how much time and effort you put into your work. Just pretend appreciations and cheers in meetings with no tangible way to feel like you are doing good work. 

Lots of promises in IT from the CIO upon which the CIO or the rest of the IT leadership team never deliver. 

Unless you want to lose your sanity with the number of hours worked, deal with constant promises and no delivery from management, work on a milion projects at the same time with no time to relax or learn new skills, learn nothing new and just deal with emergencies all the time, look elsewhere.


Their business model is HEAVILY reliant on Excel spreadsheets...if you don't live and breathe excel...well you've been warned. Building business processes around excel spreadsheets is unsound and unwise.
Merchandising Management needs to make decisions and actually stick to them rather than having their team trying to anticipate the next change in direction....agility to respond to business changes are  understandable, but the underlying foundation needs to be consistent and they still haven't got this right yet after this long.
The Merchandising leadership needs to be more consistent, they will never be successful at implementing successful business standards if they're all over the place....the downstream impacts don't seem to be of any concern.

Management, the fake supportive attitudes of management. Blatant preferences on display

Chilled if you’re a favourite or not black , other than that you’re micromanaged

Steady paced and detail oriented

Government jobs are unpredictable, and OCS is no exception. I was there nearly 3 years and out of the blue, lost my job with no offer to move to another department or position. The leadership team, C suite cares solely about revenue. There is little no no people culture. If you're favoured, you're fine. If you're not, you will not last. All about who you know and your work does not matter. 

When I joined the organization, I was so excited to be involved in the cannabis industry.  However, what I quickly found was that nothing about my job had anything to do with weed.  In fact, no one at the organization really even seems to care about cannabis as a plant and tool for people's betterment. 

The organization is very flat so everyone has a chance to make an impact. If change is not something you are comfortable with, this is not the organization for you. Priorities shift with the political environment, so you need to be able to adapt.

The people and leaders are very helpful and encouraging. There is ample of opportunities to grow within the organization. The company is very people focused. 

very nice I like working here. nice people, flexible work arrangements - 3 days in office currently. Good leadership team who listens and responds to folks.
