I  would rather have no job then ever work at this place ever again. All around terrible, even managemt talks behind your back. No consistency with scheduling, shifts change with out notification.
Management never has your back even when your not wrong, no raises ever. 
Work inventory and not compensated properly for it. They pay poorly, never give raises. 
My location was an extremely toxic environment... RUN away...most of the associates were nice to work with. Alot of back stabbing, talk behind your back garbage.

The people I worked with were great.

There was no support and the workload was unreasonable.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
There was no appreciation, support, leadership or training.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
There was always way more work than time to do it. No matter how hard you work, you are not valued or appreciated.

Orders were constantly missed or miss-placed at the lab and either didnt get sent back or are sent to the wrong store. The jobs that did get sent were done wrong 90% of the time, so they always have to be re-done resulting in upset customers. Best part? Minimum wage pay if you are not licensed. Not worth being screamed at by customers in my opinion. To top it off management was not helpful or supportive and repeatedly talked smack about each another and other employees.

its ok, not that great, will only pay minimum wage if you're not an optician.

lots of personal relationships bw management (as in quite a few of them are dating someone from one of the other branches so don't say anything bad about anyone else Ever, chances are extremely good that they will find out)

Optiks International pats minimum wage and expects 20$ an hour work load. It is poorly managed and management issues go unaddressed from head office. High stress low paying. Amazing co workers. Terrible and unethical management. I expect more from a medical profession. 

Im looking to work somewhere where I can feel comfortable and gain new knowledge. Its a good place to work for the most part but, I dont feel much support in anything I do when being here. I really wish when coming into a company such as this, that I would've been trained more.

Having the large selection at this Victoria Uptown location matches the large amount of customers needing eyewear. Being busy helps the work week go buy.

Horrible management, no training, will bully you. Only makes rules just for you and nobody else. Absolutely toxic. By the end of it you will feel like a squashed bug under there show. 

The job is ok only if the flow is consistent. There is not much to do if it's not busy. Everyone talks about others if there is nothing else to talk about. The pay is low for me so I plan on looking around for better pay. The cost of living is going up so it is what it is.

No one had a raise since they got in. maybe company they have merge with a different company now hopefully better now. Have good health care benefits though. Easy to ask for days off usually. Depends on who your Manager was one bad Manager could ruin everything for you.
