Good company-Bad management(verbally abusive, manipulative)
Great co-workers....
Hourly wage versus no job security and safety = a no win for newer employees. Senior'd employees are given a long leash with little accountability.
Overall the fellow employees make it worth while to not quit. The incentive and positive support through management is almost non existent and the negative verbal abuse over issues and concerns that you have no or little responsibility over is hilarious.
This makes it a bad situation for those who take pride in work and want to build an accountable relationship/future with a company
Overall job training is barely existent
Pros-
Willing to hire almost anyone(very low starting wage)
Extra hours available(but no overtime pay)
Medical benefits after 6months

Rather than working on solving engineering problems, most of my time was spent just double checking part drawings. The company has very little incentive or time to teach interns any real skills so you usually end up in a support position. The only reason I learn anything at all was because management was very understanding and very willing to give me time to and responsibility to take on a few small projects. 

The Owner of the company is very involved in all aspect of his company, including holidays, work performance, disciplinary action, annual reviews, accommodation and all of which do not have a positive outcome.  Which leaves me to believe, he has no faith in his Human Resources, Management and supervisors team.  There is a somewhat high number of turnover, or what would call a revolving door.  Co-worker are friendly, benefit and pay are reasonable

Direct Coil has been a great place for me to work. They expect you to show up for work and work hard. If you have a strong work ethic you will fit right in and advance.  The management team has been understanding and will talk you through things you need to improve on. They also give back to the workers on Holidays and do their best to help you out.   The workers are great as well!  Over all if you go to work and work hard you will rise to the top!  Great opportunity for anyone that wants to succeed!

It's a productive and fun place to work
I have been with the company coming up on three years. I still enjoy coming in everyday. Yes there is stress sometimes but what job doesn't have good and bad days. I like working with my coworkers, they are pretty easy to get along with.  

I stayed for one week, the plant manager and upper level employees are all x employees from cancoil that got fired, so you have a bunch of guys that were of not much use, running this company, the owner much like cancoil is a control freak, minimum wage along with life sucking misery

If you have any opinions keep them to yourself.
Management does not care about their employees nor listen.
If being forced to operate 3 machines while being hounded at on why production lacks then straight tube is for you.
Overtime is mandatory as per the union.
They refuse to pay people what they are worth

The most enjoyable part of my job is the work that I do, I feel like I am a part of a team and I contribute to the overall goal of producing quality coils. This is a great place to work if you like to learn new things and love a new challenge.

Worked in production.  Really disorganzied
People were super nice.
Owner started another plant down in tennessee. 
its so obvious they are moving production down to the US so I dipped.

learned to read a tape measure, the saw, and a few other machines 
management was not really the greatest
hardest part was lifting

the most enjoyable part of the job was learning new things
