Most enjoyable part of the job is my customers!
Hardest part of the day is dealing with too many supervisors, all with different ways of doing things. Different training with different supervisors makes for much confusion among employees.
Typical day-shift: Turn on on cooking appliances, make breakfast bagels, assist customers, prep for lunch, assist customers, clean-up lunch, cook chickens, prepare salad and sandwich bar, clean again, assist customers, prep for dinner, temperature logs all day. Night shift: Assist customers, fill salads,meats,etc, clean, clean and clean and assist customers

What is the best part of working at the company?
The customers are great love to meet new people


What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Whenever i needed the manager or supervisor help what i couldnt do because i was just a worker



What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Its really great you get to see different cultures and meet great customers


What is a typical day like for you at the company?
I dont know i was basically a night shift worker there alqays closed the store

Went from never pumping my own gas to being able to check every fluid under the hood in a matter of weeks. Everyone who knew more than me was happy to help me learn even the simplest parts of my job (even if I need the explanation more than once). The services we provide are guaranteed no matter rain or shine and a lot of time is spent outside (if at gas stations). There is always work to do and customers to serve so being on your feet all day is a must.

What is the best part of working at the company?
That you get quarterly pay for performance bonuses


What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Working for managers that don't do a lot 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Not very good, there is a definite disconnect between the management and staff

Co-op workers and managers are fun to work with. People are treated with respect. It's busy, and fun. Lots of opportunity for growth and development. Shift flexibility and great financial support for students - from high school to to post secondary. 

Always felt really appreciated here and feedback was encouraged and appreciated. Great company culture, nice perks and benefits. Opportunities for on the job training and courses to advance career.

One the  few places I've worked where they understand their greatest asset is the employee. In return it creates a great 
environment ! I noticed managers do very similar jobs around the site as you would which is a good breathe of fresh air

Co-op is a great local company to work for. They offer fair benefits, decent training and are flexible with students and family schedules. Management had its issues but overall it’s a good place to be and was enjoyable to come to work everyday.

I was a post-secondary student when I was employed at Peninsula Co-op. I learned the accounts receivable and payable processes which I think is great for someone who has no idea of how accounting works in the actual workplace.

I always enjoyed coming into work, the co-workers were great and the management was easy to get along with and supportive. The time flew by at work and I always enjoyed working with the customers.
