Do not waste your time for a second on this place. Horrible disorganized backstabbing management that does not bring problems or concerns to the employee, instead the employee hears it in “shop talk” as rumours. Management is disorganized and extremely unprofessional. There is no such thing as privacy. Everyone knows everyone’s business. There are more useless middle managers and nobody knows who’s doing what or who is supposed to report to whom. Just poorly run all around. Nepotism is a huge problem and the hard working frontline staff are always the ones shafted and thrown under the bus when a problem arises, so that incompetent management doesn’t have to hold themselves accountable for their screw ups. Wake up over there Paramount Management, you are the problem and  are what makes Paramount a laughing stock in the industry. 

This is a terrible place to work - especially if you are an apprentice. 

Journeymen here do not want to teach, the staff/culture is very cliquey, if you don’t fit in, you’re out. Toxic environment as well, ran by a fear mongering service manager. Nepotism runs very, very high here. 

People talk behind each others back all the time. Missing hours on cheques. Slow work, you will find yourself mucking around the shop a lot of the time because they are too slow. Tons and tons of micromanaging here. 

Overall - If you are an apprentice, do not apply here as they do not want to teach, trust me. If you are a higher level, you better know everything, they will not support you at all. If you are still learning or have things to learn, you will get the boot. 

This is the worst shop in the city, find out for yourself. 

Summary above about says it all. It's not a coincidence they are constantly putting job ads on indeed. You get your basic wage, which was a tad below par, and that's it. No pention/RRSP contributions or anything. There is no long term future as a tradesman with Paramount. Management is all about the money over it's employees. Zero support. There are better opportunities out there. 

Working at Paramount seems pretty endless.  The management doesn't invest in training office staff.  Otherwise the work place does offer flexible work schedules and a nice facility.  It is hard to get to without a car. Since it is a small business there is some ability to learn processes outside your job description.

Owners are a freak show. Never felt safe working there. Management is scared of owners. Management doesn't go to bat for their employees. The higher ups don't know what they're doing and when things go wrong because of this, problems just get blames on staff. Wouldnt recommend this place to my worst enemy. SOOO many better place to work. 

Good environment, nice co-workers. Was able to learn a lot of new skills on the job. Had a lot of latitude to shape my work day as long as the goals were met.  

A really great place to work. Great management.  Great coworkers.  Everyone gets along, a really great crew. Benefits,  vacation time, supplied vehicle,  supplied phone, paid overtime, tools. A really great experience. 

Great co workers! Perfect workplace for those looking for a dynamic service focused company. 

I have had the opportunity to learn a lot from my co-workers, has been great for my career development!

Great open and collaborative culture. Room to grow as the company continues to expand. Great work schedule which gives me good work/life balance.  Personally, I really the location, and taking advantage of the walking trails on my breaks.


I loved the company. I would still be there if business did not slow down. Work is tracked and distributed by apps. There was quite a bit of learning to get everything right. Overall good experience.
