I worked at this place for about 2 years and a half. I liked it at first, a lot of younger people were working there but they all started to leave by the time I was fully integrated. It’s in Repentigny and there weren’t that much diversity when I started working there so I would get comments about my race or my looks here and there (rarely anything offensive although). The management was okay, I had a lot of supervisors and it was pretty irregular keeping a supervisor for an extended amount of time. About a year later they added new systems and they started being stricter on certains things which were sometimes ridiculous. Overall the atmosphere when I left was pretty boring and non-collaborative between the cashiers. A lot of drama and unnecessary bickering and snitching. Great for a first time job, but that was a while ago so things have probably changed since then.

Family atmosphere, great benefits, awesome people.

Making errors on orders leading to customer dissatisfaction.

Everyone helps everyone succeed.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Assisting customers and fulfilling orders and doing general routine maintenance around the yard and store

While working, there were busy and calm days, on busy days i would serve alot of clients and on calmer days i would do alot of cleaning. Working there, i learned alot of things, mostly things about different construction materials and how to use them. The hardest part of the job was dealing with the heat and the most enjoyable was the long lunches we had.

It was a real great place to work. People are all very nice, the salary is really competitive for a retail hardware store. I never had any problems with my supervisor. I had always something to do, so my days were really busy.

The employed there are very sweet and ready to help if in the right conditions but the management is week and there is barely any benefits working for that company.

Working at PM was a great experience. I got along great with my Director, I got to learn about a "cour à bois" and got along with everyone coming from multiple departments.

Its a great student job or summer job and there are many job opportunities. They are also very accommodating with the schedules for the part time workers.

The position was not accurately described in the job interview.  What was discussed and the reality of the circumstances and the job itself was very different.  

They push employees to work too hard because they cut the hours. Direction is not helpful and push everyone.
The salary are average and you don’t have any feedback.


Toxic environment , poor decisions, alot of disrespect between colleagues with no shame, hardest part of the job is being talked to like your garbage sometimes by your responsible.
