Playland at the PNE

Great for experience, and fun co-workers! Though it can be fairly stressful during rush hour depending where they place you.

Job stress and pacing really varies depending on where they place you. Sometimes, you will be placed in a much busier place (such as triple Os), and sometimes you will be placed at much more empty stores, which you will not be doing much other than serving drinks and the occasional food item from time to time.

Some issues included stores running out of items and telling the customers we didn't have them. Which were most of the complaints by customers I've experienced while working. Another issue is about the high prices! Just be prepared to explain to customers complaining about things you do not have much control over.

Coming to a work place with lots of happy and good people and kind co workers:) as well as the watching everyone smile and enjoying the rides at the Playland and having lots of fun with their friends amd family and our those who come from other provinces and internationally:)

I have worked here for two years now, and I've found that I can talk to guests more efficiently. I'm very introverted and shy, so this job helps me to be outside of my comfort zone and helps my communication skills. 
Management and other workers are very friendly and helpful. When applying there are so many places to work and lots of different opportunities.

If you present your work iD to playland stands you can usually receive a 20% discount off of food and drinks. Which is very nice, as the food is pricey. The break room is very spacious and relaxing. 

All in all, love working here!

this was my first job out of highschool and was definitely very memorable. the management is very organized and usually very friendly but can get cliquey within workers and if you aren’t part of that group you would be stuck with worker positions for the day. lots of room for growth (learning better rides) but moving positions is unlikely as people would stay for years and not get a pay raise. would give more hours if you asked which was nice and benefits if you talk to the right people 

I work during the summers as a games attendant. It's fun, but very long hours. Managers are really cool and coworkers are really fun, but even after working here for a while I feel undertrained at times, I don't always know what I should be doing and I have to call for a manager, which takes a really long time for them to come some days when it's really busy in the park. Pay is really good, especially for a first job.

Working at the PNE is a great experience. The working environment is very unique and is good for people who would rather not work in your typical 9-5 retail job. The position is also perfect for students, as the Playland season is in the Summer, and the schedule is based on your own availability. You also meet some great people who make the working day go by faster. I would definitely recommend this position to anyone who is looking for a seasonal part-time job for the summer months.

It is very easy and very simple. Come in every morning to test run the wooden roller coaster and then go back to your assigned rides for the pre-check before the park opens. Job is very easy but repetitive, managers and supervisors are very lenient as long as you follow the rules. Flexible work schedule!

Hours are pretty good and the schedule is very flexible (you get to pick the days you work on every 2 weeks so you are in charge of your schedule!!). Co-workers make it fun. Supervisors kinda have favorites but just do your job well and they'll like ya hahaha.

if you want to test your actor skills this job is for you! however be warned if you can't handle scary houses or being touched i wouldn't apply. it's seasonal so no real commitment. i only left because i have anxiety and it got to be too much.
