I've worked here for over a year and this company is a joke. Where are the Core Values they keep talking about when they don't even listen to their employees. They don't even care if you're being bullied by your supervisor, they always think she's high almighty because she's a two face. For a management, you should care and listen to a bunch of your employees over one person. Bullying you say? Yes, save yourself and don't work here because your going to be supervisor is a bully. And yes, they still won't fire her despite of all the reports and stress we've dealing with everyday. Their response is always, "If you're not happy here then quit." Uhmm, yeah okay. That's how you handle the situation. This company isn't even 2 years old and they already had 2 GM, 2 HSK Manager, 2 Supervisors, 5 Breakfast attendants, more than 20 housekeepers and front desk attendant that either got fired or left because of how unorganized this hotel is. No raise either for those who've worked hard since. Don't lie and tell the new applicants that you will give them raise because that's never happening. Save yourself some stress and DON'T WORK HERE!!! 

GM fired the hard working respected Housekeeping Manager who treated the Team fairly because she will not encourage staff to cut corners like wetting guests towels and using them to clean bathrooms without  cleaner. He replaces her with a incompetent woman who is lazy, doesn't respect staff and has favorites. They just fired the incompetent housekeeping manager, finally. But also fired the supervisor that has been there since opening who was respected, hard working and kept things running smoothly while the incompetent manager was there. GM and Regional Manager stating the reasons were the felt the toxic environment was due to management.  Yes...it is due to management.  Specifically the General Manager and not the supervisor. The place has only been open for 6 months and has gone through so  many staff as no one wants to work in a toxic environment. GM only cares about production and not staff. If you kiss his butt you will do well there, otherwise don't bother applying!

Awesome opportunities to learn and grow. Good mentors within the organization. Fast pace environment. Staff and management are super friendly and promote a family culture which happens go be one of their core values. I learnt so much from both top management and staff . Staff are encouraged to contribute and make a difference. Everyone is hard working and promotes team work. Management is supportive and communicates well. CEO is very humble and will definitely lead this company from Good to Great.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The travel benefits and comradery with peers! Good managers make it awesome place to work at. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The volume of guests. It was a lot of work after hours. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
It was nice. Some good managers and some not so good. But we all persevered and pulled through. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Working in a high volume restaurant. Section checks, name of the game was to flip the tables and then side work took a long time due to the volume of the guests. We would have help usualy.

3 words. Management doesn't care. The turnover at this location is very very high. Theres a few reasons. 
For one, minimum wage rose, but no one got a raise. You just lowered everyone who works for you closer to poverty, when they're supposed to be working a higher paying job *read; security* 
They will tell you you're going to get a raise. You won't. Management will gossip about you with the staff, they will backstab you every chance they get. Employees all hate eachother. And dont even think about having a life outside of work. They will work you to death. Until you want to die. They do not care what your availability is, they will schedule you anyways.

Since starting with Pomeroy, I have been treated so nicely! I've had opportunity to advance in job position and REALLY enjoy working there. There are so many different job types available so working with Pomeroy is a great option. They are super flexible and willing to work with anyone who is employed with them. All the employees I've met have been with Pomeroy for multiple years and that's saying something about what it's like to work for this company! There are so many helpful programs that are offered as well if your employed! I'd recommend Pomroy to ANYONE! It's a great company and I'll be working for them for years to come!

Typically was slow due to Covid-19 but the people and customers always made in enjoyable, you learn to think fast and react faster, Management could be pretty bad but for the most part tolerable. The most difficult part of the job was Communication issues on the radio with some people mumbling or accents causing issues but once you get to know the job it gets easier with time, The people you meet and work with are by far the most enjoyable part of the job and were always super friendly and willing to lend a hand 

Culture is hypocritical and management is weak. Many positions on all levels are held by unqualified candidates.  Its starts at the top and trickles down to hotel level.  If you are a YES person,  then this is the perfect company for you!  If you are a qualified knowledgable leader in your field,
I would definately seek other hotel chain opportunities so you can shine and grow in your role. Pomeroy company culture will eventually have you feeling supressed. The Regional Manager for BC was a complete wack job.  It was good to learn he is no longer with the company.

I had the pleasure of working at Pomeroy Lodging Inc. for a brief period, and it was an outstanding experience. The company fosters an inclusive environment where everyone is treated with civility, dignity, and kindness. The culture of respect and support among colleagues made it a great place to work. I particularly appreciated the leadership of my previous director, whose guidance and management style were exemplary. Given the opportunity, I would gladly work at Pomeroy Lodging Inc. again, especially under the same leadership.

I have been working here for many years and love the hospitality industry. This organization has allowed me to grow, be creative and has given me several opportunities. The hospitality industry has been hit hard in recent years with the pandemic throughout everything, the organization has taken excellent care of its people.

I value honesty, leadership, career growth, mentorship and passion in the workplace. I get all of this working here and I feel as though I am part of a larger community.
