Worked as a technician for many years here and seen multiple service managers come and go. Not many lasted more then a year or two making it hard to get consistency in the shop.  Felt like upper management was incapable of finding a good service manager and when we did have a good one that supported the guys in the shop then upper management would push him out since he wasn’t a “yes” man for them. 

Wages are subpar compared to anything else in the area but I did feel like I had good job security. There was also no opportunity for advancement and if a rare opportunity ever did arise they would hire outside the company instead of promote from within. 

Felt like a great place to work the first number of years but really feels like the company has gone down hill the past while.

All that being said, I did have some great co-workers that were enjoyable to work with. They also had treats and bbq’s fairly often.

Snacks, brand specific training offered. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Unclear expectations from management, treated as "old boys club" with no real company culture. Employees don't have support from leadership, who are pretty quick to throw you under the bus to save their own reputation and skin. No diversity and unofficial hiring practices to keep it that way. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Company culture is fit in or keep your mouth shut, don't speak up or challenge any management. Work environment is stressful since there is no real support from management and there's a heavy gossip culture. No diversity at all, open racism. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Attempt to get feedback, projects, or support from management, get nowhere and figure it out yourself. Each department is for themselves and no real collaboration.

Terrible scam of a company to work for. 

Refused to send me my T4 and also lied about firing me when I quit just so they didnt have to pay out medical EI.

No overtime at this company and my paycheck never seemed to add up.

Management made promises about advancement at the job under certain circumstances and never kept to agreements once I met those circumstances.

I asked for time off due to a medical diagnoses that was vital for me to take care of myself and was told the job is more important and I would be fired if I took approved time off for medical appointments. 

They prioritized shop housekeeping over an employees health. I would suggest finding another company to work for.

What is the best part of working at the company?
This company has a great family type environment, and people are quick to help each other as challenges arise.  It can be stressful some days as in season can be very busy, but the co workers are friendly and courteous. Winter can be a slow time but spring, summer , fall are busy.  Good place to work 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Can be busy and require working long hours, but usually can take days off later to compensate. Pay may not be the greatest but benefit package is good.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Prairie Coast Equipment has a good work environment, people are willing to help others.

Great place to work, Management supports the staff and encourages the team to work together. Lots of on site training that results in practical knowledge. John Deere always has incentives for training programs.

The company cares, from top down. The CEO makes regular visits and actually talks to each individual and cares about the staff. This is a big company with a small company feel.

I've been working at the prince george, bc location for about a year and a half now. I'm given every opportunity to learn more and take on more responsibilities. My management team is great to work for and the staff are all happy and knowledgeable! I've been excited about my job the entire time I've worked here and am looking forward to continuing to grow within the company. If money is what you're looking for there are tons of overtime hours to be working toward. The team feels like a family and I never feel like I'd rather be doing something else. 10/10! 

What is the best part of working at the company?
The customers are the best! Because its an Agricultural dealership we see the same people repeatedly. You get to know them personally. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Company doesnt care about the employees, you feel disposable! Wages are low, and they never give raises.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Theres alot of managers! No one is happy, breaks are spent complaining to each other about how terrible it is working there.

It seemed that there was no fixed schedule as the yard guy, which means if you start something, halfway through you can be thrown into something else. It adds up and now you have 5 things on your plate that are all only partially completed. Alongside that, since they aren’t complete, whoever gave you that certain job is now mad that it’s not done. You see the pattern here. Apparently everyone is your boss as well, which makes prioritizing work near impossible and leaves you at the end of each day having someone mad at you and you are rushing to finish closing up. 

PrairieCoast has been a great place to work at over the last 5 years. It's a rewarding place for people who show up with a great attitude and want to work hard for the customers and lend a hand to the staff. Not only have I had a lot of fun over these years, but I've made great friendships and been given tons of great opportunities. Through training and experience PrairieCoast has invested in me, and through the ESOP program I have invested in PrairieCoast. Really grateful to be working here. 

PrairieCoast was good to me.  I was able to move  departments (as many are) and there are many opportunities for growth and promotion. I enjoyed going to work and some coworkers I would consider friends.  My managers were excellent, mistakes were teaching moments and not reprimands.  Great understanding and support when I had health difficulties.  Pay was fair.  Bad attitude = disappointing experiences.  Good attitude = great experience.   I had a great experience!
