This company used to be a decent company to work with. A lot has changed. The hiring process is long and tedious, once hired the training program is very good, The probation period is a make or break ,no forgiveness it you should make a mistake and break or bend one of their " procedures " , your position will be terminated. Most of the drivers are good people, they'll help out with information and advice about the job and the customers. Management is sketchy,  and have no experience in the job you are doing , they give you the impression that they have hands on but they don't. Lodgistics can be a little frustrating at times , but they'll work with you to make sure things are doable . The pay is Ok.some regions are higher than others , some branches are union , some aren't.  Nonunion branches are paid higher than union branches..Expect to work 12 to 14 hour days. Time off is good 3 to 4 days off . There's opportunity to move ahead in the company .but by the time your hearing about it,  the window has closed. All in all a decent place to work, as long as one can tolerate the policies and politics. 

I applied to the night shift position, as I was already employed at another job, the night shift seemed ideal.
The first two weeks went well.
Training was a fairly simple process, as anybody can move cylinders from point A to point B.
Within 2 weeks of doing very well, on the night shift, I was moved to the morning shift, against my will.
I expressed to the management my concerns about this, as it would conflict with my other job.
Management assured me I had nothing to worry about.
I was then placed on a 3 week trial period, where once again I was assured a secure position. (management shook my hand on this!)
During those 3 weeks I felt a general sense of disdain from other employees.
I enquired to my manager as to what would happen after the 3 weeks were up.
He said "come in Monday, we'll work something out".
Upon returning from my first break on Monday, I was released, with no explanation as to why.
This is a great job to have one foot out the door!

This all my personal experience and opinion.

Great company benefit plan, decent work area, to much of a mix in operations, personnel and management interference. Moral throughout the location was poor with only peer friendliness and cooperation. Pay structure was very appropriate. Workload and workable hours were comfortable, weekends off as a rule if required to do a road trip company vehicle and reasonable meal expenses were covered. All necessary safety and or educational/required certification was company supplied. Annual and semi-annual "Safety" Meetings involved all associated sites and involved a "Breakfast Meeting" at a local Hotel Conference Room, however the agenda was the same with the same script and finger pointing of course applied by respective managers/departments whom of course, are infallible-godly!! Overall workplace is tolerable.

Typical day at work is very responsible, busy and sometimes with critical deadlines.
I have learned to meet challenging deadlines, analyze problems, resolve issues in professional manner, make well thought out decisions and to take accountability of assigned jobs
Professional, well organized management that gives serious consideration to every aspect of jobs
Very friendly, easygoing and helpful co-workers who are always willing to assist/help when necessary.
The hardest part of the work is sometimes the volume and the long hours on month closing.
The most enjoyable part of the job is working with my united team members and successfully completing the assigned projects by deadline.

Praxair use to be a great company but over the years they have cut all perks and cut staff so much that its constantly too much for one person to do but you have to do it anyway. no one helps each other, its everyone for themselves. local management is really good, hands get tied by head office on how to run the branch. work is days monday to friday, start time is pretty flexible if you need it to be. Most people are good to get along with, but there is some that make working there as miserable as it can be, always complaining and not getting the work done, or undoing the work you did because they don't want you to make them look bad.

Okay place, many staff are burnt out from lack of staff, employee turn around, there is always a problem and reason to work short staff. Many instances where they had time and warning to hire/train another employee.
Poor management, you could warn management of something that is not working or will become an issue, they ignore than once issue arises they ask why nothing was said. 
Paid salary, always work overtime, miss lunches and never get paid or get those hours back. 
Don’t get sick or start a family here, not accommodating.

Hmm let's see.
The management is a joke!
The so called senior workers treat anyone below them as just that!
Have an opinion on how to improve production? Keep it to yourself!
I worked in a winter location, requiring outdoor forklifts, what did we get to work with? Indoor lifts! Absolutely useless in the snow!
Employees like to talk behind your back, like a junior high environment.
Management would constantly tell you one thing and do the opposite.
When you bring your concerns up, safety or otherwise, your basically shunned for doing so.
Great pay, if your willing to sacrifice your dignity, otherwise, stay away!
This place is an accident waiting to happen.

This is not to be confused with Praxair (Gas division), a highly standardized corporation. This is its Industrial and Aeronautical coating division Praxair Surface technologies. It has the same core values and mission, bu not the same management, guideline, and leadership root.

The new Plant manager is driving the company to a brighter future, this company is growing again.

Good work environment, therefore it made coming to work enjoyable. Challenging at times, which helped a lot with furthering problem solving skills. Co-workers and the management were understanding and helpful. The most enjoyable part of the job was that I was able to help others and see the big smiles on their family members faces when they received beds, wheelchairs, commodes et cetera. However, lack of man power has been an issue.

This is a fast paced environment where u have to train yourself on over 90% of the job.  Management and decisions are made out of Edmonton or the USA which leads to no support or idea how individual locations and branches are ran.  There are no job descriptions or training manuals on any position in this company.  The culture is not ideal and is not relevant to innovation or the current market.  Overall just disorganized and unsatisfactory as an employer.
