My experience at PPC Centra was poor. Constant problems, managers/leads lack communication skills and company seeks for 0 improvements in any areas except for production. Health and safety is not treated with importance or urgency either whether it's a concern from a laborer or a lead. Progressing as a worker was constantly frustrating and unnecessarily difficult as the company puts production ahead of training it's employees which resulting in it constant nagging about time targets. The adherence to internal policies was also very poor with lots of double standards and inconsistencies among everyone. Leads were not leading by example. 

The other employees were great to work and very friendly towards each other. The pay and benefits are not bad either but as a company owned by Berkshire Hathaway they can do better there. Only 2 weeks vacation with no exceptions unless you give up stat holidays. 

If you need a paycheck for the short term than this isn't the worst option but if you want a long term job that will make you a more skilled person and work towards long term progression than this place should be avoided. It's not worth the time for anyone who wants a career. 

I have never seen a place as unorganized as Centra. The poor assemblers have suffered for years and years at the hands of incompetent senior management where lying and horrible work ethic is actually rewarded. My time spent at Centra I have seen 5 different general managers come and go and the current one is probably on his way out soon as well. Assembly department suffers from inexperienced leadership personnel who have lied their way to their position and management buys it every time (former ice skate sharpener turned Production Supervisor). I would stay clear of this place as it has been a downward spiral for years, with buddy buddy system rewarding laziness and inability to do their job. The PCC culture and reporting is beyond flawed and inaccurate which leaves room for many to manipulate it and constantly lie and get away with it. There are a lot of good people there but unfortunately the wrong people are leading them and that doesn't look like it will change anytime soon. Stay far away from Centra unless you enjoy lying and terrible work ethics by your superiors who just don't care and are there to collect a paycheck until the place eventually goes bust.

This is a tough place to be. Demands are high and they keep on changing, even if you meet your goals and targets. 

In reality supervisors and managers are just playing the PCC Parrot Game.. Keep demanding and repeating everyday and MAYBE something will happen. Don’t fix anything don’t spend to fix, just keep demanding and maybe you can fix the numbers enough to get through the week. 

All of this demanding and fudging is unsustainable. That is why almost every 4 months people get laid off to fix the balance sheets. Yet the demands remain. 

Machines are old and unreliable. Tools and cutters are of cheap quality. Leadership has no clue except to play the Parrot Game. Day by day this place is getting worse as they keep falling behind w customer demands. And spending more money on rework and expedites.

If you enjoy working for lead hands and supervisors that have no idea how to run a company and keep their employees motivated then this is the place for you. Team leads are not concerned with quality of work just quantity, just get things out the door, good or bad doesn’t matter. They will hire anyone off the street then get rid of you just as fast. There’s no room to grow in this company. Their  motto is safety first but safety is the last thing that they really think about unless something happens and when it does they’ll just blame you for not being aware of your surroundings and walk you out the door. The employees there for the most part are great. Centra is a sinking ship and hopefully the good employees there smarten up and don’t go down with it.

Stay far far away if you are under the age of 50.

If u r rat then u will grow here . All ways kissing plant manager then u will get raise and u will grow other wise find something else where people respect your work not u bend down.

purchased by Berkshire Hathaway in early 2016.  Change is rampant with updating to new methodology.  Business ethics are a serious issue and taken seriously.  Everything else is based on growth and cash flow.

Safety problems, average management, average work place culture, poor pay and benefits, co workers problems, in summers very hot touches 70 degree centigrade

Much very corporate. Many favorites . Rude men. Long hours. Machines alway on the broken . There are bEtter options like linamar.. air space is not good industry.
